The graphics in Grand Theft Auto VI are definitely going to be top-notch, as confirmed by the second trailer, which shows a mix of gameplay and cutscenes. The question is: what will be the performance in this situation? It seems like PS5 Pro owners can expect 60 frames per second, but maybe others can too.

Sony's collaboration with Rockstar

The user Detective Seed shared new information on X. Its source is a "PlayStation engineer who has provided highly accurate and verified info several times in the past."

  1. GTA 6 runs at a steady 60 frames per second on the PS5 Pro, no matter the graphics settings.
  2. Currently, 60 fps is only achievable on the more powerful console variant, but it's possible that this could change before the release.
  3. It's expected that GTA 6 on PS5 Pro will offer different graphic modes.

Engineers from PlayStation are supposed to help with optimizing the title due to the implementation of new technologies. This apparently results from a marketing agreement concluded between Sony and Rockstar Games. As a result, we should also expect a few sets with PlayStation 5 consoles and GTA 6 included.

What's interesting, engineers are reportedly also helping with several other Rockstar titles that are set to appear in the "near future." This may be about the new editions of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA IV, which have been the subject of rumors for some time now.

Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on May 26 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In the future, the title will also hit PC. According to the latest forecasts, the game is expected to generate a whopping revenue of $7.6 billion within 60 days of its release.
