The winners of the GDC and IGF awards have been announced. The list of winners includes games such as Hades, Ghost of Tsushima or Umurangi Generation.
Last night, a virtual gala where the winners of this year's Game Developers Choice Awards were announced took place. The winner turned out to be Hades, which was recognized as the best game of the year. The game by Supergiant Games also won "best design" and "best audio visuals". The best debut was the online horror Phasmophobia.
Ghost of Tsushima received the audience award and the statuette for best artwork. The most technologically impressive production was Microsoft Flight Simulator, and in the category of narration The Last of Us: Part II was inrivalled.
On the same night, the Independent Games Festival statuettes, the most prestigious awards for indie games, were also awarded. Here, the best game was Umurangi Generation, which is an unusual position that enables us to play the role of a photographer living in a dark future. The title also won in the category of best narration. The audience award in turn was won by the minimalistic adventure game Arrog.
