How to Get Alucard's Sword and Unlock Richter Mode in Dead Cells

Are you playing Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania and looking for Alucard's Sword? Here you will find out how to get it.

Dead Cells recently received a huge DLC called Return to Castlevania. It introduces a fresh story campaign, bosses and weapons. Among the new features you will find Alucard's Sword. In this guide you will learn how to get it.

Dead Cells Return to Castlevania - how to get Alucard's Sword?

You can get Alucard's Sword only by playing in Richter Mode (instructions on how to unlock it can be found below). When you are in this mode, you must go to the rightmost part of the castle. When you get there, head up the hill. While proceeding in this direction, you should look out for a wall that can be passed through. It will have a grid-like pattern.

Go through the hidden door and follow the corridor until you reach the room where you find Alucard, who will turn into a bat after a while. It is in this room that you will find the sword you are looking for.

Dead Cells Return to Castlevania - how to unlock Richter Mode?

Richter Mode is a special game mode, which you will unlock only about halfway through the DLC. During its duration, we play as Richter Belmont. This gives you different move set.

You need to perform certain actions to gain access to it. First of all, you must defeat the boss called Death. This will unlock access to True Dracula's Castle.

Behind the castle's clock tower, there is a hidden room. When you get there, find the drawing of the golden hourglass - it is the door. Interact with it, and you will reach the room where Richter Belmont is imprisoned. Free him to unlock Richter Mode.

You can only play the newly available mode on your next playthrough. When you start it, head to the same secret room. Interact with the cage to activate Richter Mode.
