Even though the multiplayer FPS genre seems to be saturated and dominated by big players like Call of Duty, Battlefield or Counter Strike franchises, there are still new titles trying to win some ground on this field. Not long ago, a new, free game called Combat Master emerged and was warmly welcomed by community. This purely multiplayer game promises no lootboxes, no ads and no pay-to-win. With the game being free, it’s easy to bring some friends and jump into the fray. It’s not as straightforward as it may seem though, so below you will learn how to play with friends.

How to play with friends in Combat Master

First thing you must do in order to play together in Combat Master is to add the people you would like to play with to your friends list in-game. When this is done, create a Custom Game, add the desired people to your lobby and choose to either play with or against them.

Sadly, if you would like to add more players to your game it would be necessary to ask in the looking-for-party channel on Combat Master’s discord server or in-game chat that can be found in main menu. When you are satisfied with your lobby settings, hit the play button and enjoy the game together.

Downsides of playing together in Combat Master

There are a few things to be aware of if you would like to team up with your friends in Combat Master. Most important limitation is that it is impossible to queue with friends and join public matches. This means that playing with friends is limited to custom games where the rest of the slots will be filled up with bots or, as mentioned before, it is possible to add more people by asking them to join.

It is possible that this feature will be added to the game later on, but as of now it is not implemented. There is a silver lining though as playing in a lobby with friends will still award you with XP.
