Today, PlayStation and Sucker Punch announced a deep dive on Ghost of Yotei planned for later this week. The announcement was shared on the PlayStation.Blog and promises “nearly 20 minutes” of gameplay from the upcoming sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. The stream is planned to go live on Thursday, July 10th, at 2:00 PM PT or 5:00 PM ET. Here’s how to watch.

Ghost of Yotei gameplay presentation scheduled for later this week

To watch the stream, tune into PlayStation’s YouTube or Twitch channel, or watch directly on the PlayStation.Blog’s announcement page. Check the announcement for start times according to your time zone. The news and details were also shared across PlayStation’s social media pages.

Ghost of Yotei was initially announced at the end of a PlayStation State of Play last September, and it already has a release date set for October 2nd, 2025. It’s only a few months away. This week, fans can finally get a closer look at the game. From the PlayStation.Blog, “Beyond sharing more about Atsu’s quest for vengeance, we’re excited to show off her new weapons, new ways to personalize your journey at the edge of Japan, new special modes, and much more.” The stream will be hosted by Sucker Punch’s creative directors, Jason Connell and Nate Fox.

Fans shared their excitement in the comments section of the announcement and across social media. A common sentiment was that many players were already convinced to buy and play the game, so they didn’t want to be spoiled by the gameplay presentation. Other players requested announcements about other platforms, mostly PC, but surprisingly, some inquired about when it would arrive on Xbox, even though Ghost of Tsushima hasn’t even been released there yet. Regarding PC, it will probably be a long wait, as Ghost of Tsushima took four years to launch on Steam.

We don’t know what to expect from Thursday’s presentation. But hopefully, Sucker Punch will have learned what worked and what did not work about Tsushima. Fans hope for less repetitive content, a common problem with open-world games. Some fans also wonder if Yotei will include a co-op experience, like Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. For now, we’ll have to wait to see.
