A well-known GTA leaker claims that Take-Two Interactive has refused to implement a solution in Grand Theft Auto 6 that would have significantly improved multiplayer gameplay.
Disappointing and, unfortunately, quite credible reports have emerged online regarding Grand Theft Auto VI.
The reason Take-Two rejected the idea of introducing dedicated servers for GTA 6 was to be the cost. Indeed - peer-to-peer is cheaper, although this raises the question of whether a franchise that makes such crazy money (sales of the fifth installment recently exceeded 180 million copies), requires this kind of savings.

Recall that we still do not know when the release date of Grand Theft Auto 6. The recent financial report from Take-Two Interactive suggests however, that the release of GTA 6 will take place between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025. This is because the publisher expects record revenues of $8 billion in these twelve months, and without the release of the latest installment in the series, it is unlikely that such a result will be possible.
