Leaked Screenshots From Canceled Marvel MMO Reveal Suprising Aesthetic

Thanks to the official information from Enad Global 7 we know that we won't play the awaited MMO game from Marvel. However, some screenshots from the canceled project have surfaced on the web.

A few days ago the official website of EG7 posted an announcement, stating that the owners of Dimensional Ink decided to abandon the project of an MMO game on the Marvel license due to too high risk that the game, which was to cost 50 million dollars, may not be accepted. The company preferred to diversify its investments and allocate funds to smaller titles, which is associated with much lower risk.

"The company had planned to invest more than SEK 500 million in the Marvel project over the next three years. The company will now diversify this investment across multiple, smaller size projects within the group, including the previously announced major upgrades to The Lord of the Rings Online and DC Universe Online," reads the information from Enad Global 7.

We can assume that the project was already at a fairly advanced stage of work. This is confirmed by screenshots published by Ramiro Galana. They show the character editor. As you can see on the attached materials, the would-be Marvel MMO would offer four factions, with which we could associate out hero. The list included the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Avengers and SHIELD. At the start we would also choose the gender, body build, clothing and superpowers.. And when it comes to the presentation of the characters, it's hard to resist the impression that the style of the game was based on the animated film - Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse.

Unfortunately, the fate of this interesting online project has already been sealed, but it is possible that other footage showing the would-be game will hit the Internet in the future.
