Mass Effect: Andromeda free 10-hour trial available

You can now try Mass Effect: Andromeda for yourself on any platform. A 10-hour trial of the game on Origin, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be available until November 1, 2017.

If you have been put off from buying Mass Effect: Andromeda at launch because of the negative comments on its technical condition, you may want to reconsider that decision and try out the game for yourself. BioWare has shared a 10-hour free trial of Mass Effect: Andromeda, letting you begin the adventure in uncharted worlds across the Andromeda Galaxy and then carry over your progress to the full game if you choose to buy it. The demo is now available on Origin, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 through November 1, 2017 – it’s basically the same that Origin Access and EA Access subscribers could play before the game’s launch.

Since the launch of Mass Effect: Andromeda, the game has received nine updates. The most recent one, patch 1.09, focused on animation (especially facial animations) and stability – the title’s two most troubled aspects. It also added Platinum difficulty, featuring a new mixed enemy faction – check the entire list of changes on BioWare’s blog.

While there is still a small team working on updates for Mass Effect: Andromeda at BioWare Montreal, most of the developers were transferred to EA’s studio that is working on Star Wars: Battlefront II. All planned single player DLC packs were cancelled and the series has been put on hold, which means that we should not expect to see Andromeda’s sequel any time soon.
