Minecraft Map so Realistic It Gets Confused for Real Photo

User qwryzu created an incredibly beautiful and detailed map for Minecraft. Anyone can download and explore it on their own.

Another week brought another amazing creation from the Minecraft community. This time user qwryzu has created an incredibly detailed and realistic map depicting beautiful natural formations. The modder called his creation Vales of Amoril. The continent is 10 thousand by 10 thousand blocks large and according to the description features high peaks, waterfalls, canyons, rivers, hidden valleys and even glaciers and fjords. The creator also placed many other landscape elements on the map, which were inspired by real geological structures.

Qwryzu created his masterpiece using three tools: World Machine, World Painter and Chunky. As he stated on Reddit, his priority was to create a location that he would share with other players. He pointed out that most people play on maps, not just look at them on renders. That's why he made sure that his creation was not only visually stunning, but that it was also fun to play on.

Gamers on Reddit can' t hide their admiration. The design is so realistic that many users at first mistook it for a photo of real landscape. Only after enlarging the pictures did they realize that they were looking at an extremely detailed Minecraft map created by a talented modder.
