Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered Launches Next Month

The first screenshots from Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered leaked into the web. We also got to know the project's release date and information about the novelties it will offer.

The game will be announced today at 8 AM PT.

Already a few months ago there were reports that Electronic Arts is preparing a remaster of the racing game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. The game hasn't been officially announced yet, but the first screenshots have already leaked to the web.

The pictures were accompanied by some details about the game. Stellar Entertainment, the same team that developed Burnout Paradise Remastered, is to work on it. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered will offer the contents of the basic version of the game along with all DLCs. What's interesting, however, is that there will be new elements that will provide about 6 hours of fun, which will be achieved, among others, by adding 30 fresh challenges. There will also be a lot of new Achievements and body colors.

The price of the remaster is to be 4299 yen (the source of the leak is a Japanese Twitter account), which means that in the rest of the world we will probably pay around $40.

The covers of the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions leaked along with the screenshots, but we can be virtually certain that the remaster will also hit PC and Xbox One. The launch is scheduled for November 6, this year.

Until the official announcement of the project, all reports should be taken with a grain of salt. Fortunately, we will not have to wait long for their confirmation. A countrodwnk appeared on the official website of the series, which will reach zero today at 8 AM PT. That's when the remaster should be officially revealed.

As a reminder, the original Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit was released on November 16, 2010 on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and a few days later also on Nintendo Wii. The game was warmly received. On Metacritic, the PC version has an average rating of 86%. For the PS3 release it is 89% and for the X360 - 88%.
