Among Us, as we recently wrote, continues to struggle with hacker attacks. Despite the problems, the game is still developing, and there were plans to create a new map, strongly inspired by the popular series with Henry Stickmin.
One of the co-founders of InnerSloth, the devteam responsible for Among Us, wrote on Twitter that the new area they are working on looks bigger than Polus, currently the most extensive map in the game.
The size of the new map in >Among Us is important because it affects the gameplay. Wider area means greater dispersion of tasks for crew members and greater distances to be covered. These factors may encourage players to split up more often. This in turn will make it easier for impostors to play, who are more likely to escape from the crime scene undetected.
A larger map could also mean a potential increase in the number of players in the lobby. This possibility would certainly make the game more interesting. Currently, a maximum of 10 people can play simultaneously. However, fan-made mods enable us to increase this number up to 15.
The release date of the update with the new map remains unknown. We remind that Among Us is available on PC and mobile devices with Android and iOS.
