Work on PayDay 3 is still ongoing.

PayDay 3 is a game that could take Starbreeze out of the financial hole. However, it won't do so soon, because according to the entry on the official Twitter account, the game remains in the design phase and awaits the announcement of release date. This confirms the previous information, according to which the third installment would not launch until 2022 or 2023. PayDay 3 will be powered by Unreal Engine.

Starbreeze can't really enjoy a peaceful life. The Swedish company has been suffering from financial problems for some time and just until recently it was close to bankruptcy. The blame for this can be placed on OVERKILL's The Walking Dead, whose release ended with a spectacular flop. Last December, the studio informed that it is already on the way out of its troubles. This is confirmed by the first payment, which 2 days ago went to some creditors. The question remains, will shifting all forces to the PayDay series translate into a success? Let us recall that the first mention of the third installment appeared in 2016.
