Monster Hunter has grown to be a huge franchise followed by hundreds of thousands of players around the globe. The series frequently sees new entries and soon, we’ll be able to enjoy the next instalment – Monster Hunter Wilds. The developers want to prepare as best as possible for the launch to avoid problems like, for example, in the case of Firaxis Games with Civilization 7 or Nixxies with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC port. To do so, Capcom offers open betas for players to test the title and eliminate any possible issues. However, many fans complain about low FPS in this production and poor performance in general. If you are worried about the technical state of the latest entry in MH series, we have an information that may soothe your nerves.

Low FPS and Performance issues in MH Wilds

As previously mentioned, recently we have seen at least a couple of premiers that had a terrible start due to performance issues (the counterexample, however, can be Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, which seems to be well optimized). Many fans are afraid that MH Wilds will share the fate of the less fortunate releases of this year, as the beta tests showed that the title struggles with FPS count even on decent machines, yet that varies from player to player. Some of them are even cancelling their preorders due to the fears of those challenges. Should you be worried then?

Not necessarily. The developers from Capcom informed (in Steam post and via X) that the second open beta test of MHW does not include many improvements, including performance. We should expect more optimized experience with the debut of the full game. So far, we can only take their words at a face value, so a lot depends on how much you trust the creators.

Let's remember that Monster Hunter Wilds requirements are higher than in the case of the previous titles in this series. It is underlined by the fact that the latest will be available only on the current generation of consoles, so make sure that your rig can handle it. Capcom shared a benchmark to determine how the game will perform on your PC, yet be careful if you have an AMD GPU, as it can pose some problems.

If you are still worried about how the production will work eventually, wait some time after the premiere that’s planned for February 28, 2025. Only when it is released fully will we be able to assess precisely how the performance looks. Good luck!
