The ultrawide option in MH Wilds doesn't seem to be working as it should. If you are also experiencing the gray bars problem, then read more about it in our article.
Today is a special day for fans of the Monster Hunter series due to the release of Monster Hunter Wilds. Unfortunately, at least for this moment, the reception of the game is mixed, and this is largely due to technical issues. While during the beta, there were problems with performance or the fact that the game looked blurry, now a large number of complaints among players go to the ultrawide resolution, which, in short, does not work properly. In this article you will read more about this problem.
Players who have purchased Monster Hunter Wilds are speaking out about the ultrawide resolution, which does not work as it should. People complain about gray bars on the both sides of the screen. This is frustrating as it hinders in-game visibility. Owners of OLED monitors are even worried that after long hours of gameplay, the bars will leave the permanent marks on their screens.
At this point, unfortunately, there is no way to fix the problem on your own. The only option is to communicate it to the developers of Monster Hunter Wilds and wait for a potential fix. Are there good chances for that? It's hard to say, if the response and dissatisfaction of players will be high, there is a possibility that the fix will appear quite quickly. Especially since in some other Capcom productions, the ultrawide resolution works as expected.
However, if nothing changes in this regard, perhaps the fans themselves will take matters into their own hands and fix the problem with third-party tools or mods. Nevertheless, you should be patient and wait for a solution to this issue.
