Remnant 2 Looks Good; First Gameplay

Developers of the upcoming Remnant II are turning up the hype before the release - the game's official YouTube channel published a a nine-minute gameplay recording. It is worth adding that already yesterday a shorter video was made available on the IGN channel, which turned out to be a fragment of the most recent video - it presented only the final boss fight. The longer gameplay, on the other hand, is available below.

The story takes place in a place called Yaesha, one of the areas we will visit in Remnant II. Gameplay presents three different character archetypes, they are Gunslinger, Handler and Challenger.. They differ primarily in their fighting styles. The video shows how the characters face various monsters - one character has a dog at his disposal, which can move to attack on command (and after a job well done will earn a reward in the form of pats). Another kills enemies not only with firearms, but also with a melee weapon resembling a saw. The last, meanwhile, faces a boss named Mother Mind.

Gunfire Games announced the game last year during The Game Awards. This sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes, which proved to be a success in its own right (selling one million copies in two months and 10 million copies picked up during the Epic Games Store promotion), will enable you to play solo or with friends. Remnant II will develop the premise of its predecessor and once again enrich third-person combat with RPG elements. Judging by the gameplay, fans of the first part should be satisfied with the sequel.

We do not know the exact release date of the game, we only know that it is expected to debut this summer. Remnant II will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
