Resident Evil Re:Verse - Humble Bundle Confirms Multiplayer in RE: Village

The multiplayer mode in RE: Village has been confirmed on the Humble Bundle website. It will be called Resident Evil Re:Verse, but we still don't know any details.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Pre-orders for Resident Evil Village can be placed on the Humble Bundle website;
  2. By doing so, we'll gain access to special bonus content and the multiplayer mode called Resident Evil Re:Verse upon release.

In exactly two hours, at 2 PM PT, an online event called Resident Evil Showcase will take place on PlayStation's Youtube channel, where we'll get more details on the development of the RE brand. For now, first leaks have already emerged, and from a source we wouldn't expect.

Pre-orders for Resident Evil 8 can now be placed in the Humble Bundle store, and the product's description states that any internet user who makes this purchase will receive Resident Evil Re:Verse as a bundle . What is that, you may ask. Most likely a full-fledged multiplayer mode tied to the base version of the game. There's even a dedicated website for it, but in somewhat unfinished condition.

TRAUMA PACK

By pre-ordering Resident Evil Village Deluxe Edition, we will also get the so-called Trauma Pack, which contains a number of digital bonuses. It includes a weapon called "Samurai Edge", an accessory called "Mr. Everywhere", a special screen filter and an expanded soundtrack. And there's supposedly more to come.

This would explain Capcom's moves from last week, when the company launched registration for the beta of a mysterious game described as multiplayer for 4-6 players. So we have the right to assume that we just learned its title.

It's worth remembering that it wouldn't be the first such move of the Japanese developer, because already on the occasion of the launch of Resident Evil 3 an online spin-off of the series was released under the title Resident Evil: Resistance. It met with a rather positive reception from fans, but complaints were particularly made that there wasn't much to do in it in the long run.

Resident Evil 8 will arrive in 2021 for PC, PS5 and XSX/S. The developers also do not rule out that the game will launch on PS4 and XONE.
