Battlefield 6's security features proved to be of little effect, as cheats were created for the game on the very first day. However, players believe that this will help the developers prepare for the full release.
When you check out the discussions on Steam about the Battlefield 6 beta tests, you'll find a lot of people complaining about having to enable Secure Boot in the BIOS. Not everyone wants to do this, arguing that they might damage their computer in this way.
In the case of BF6, you need to have Secure Boot enabled to run the Javelin Anticheat software, which is designed to make life harder for cheaters. However, his effectiveness was quickly verified because on the first day of beta, it was confirmed that fully functional cheats for BF6 had already been created. As a result, the community is throwing up their hands and asking:
Secure Boot was for...what then?
In the video below, we can notice a well-known cheat called "wallhack." It allows you to track enemy movements through walls, which is a huge advantage, of course. In this case, a health bar for each player is additionally displayed.
What's interesting, many people in the comments point out that it's a good thing that this happened. In this way, EA DICE can collect the required data and improve the anti-cheat system before the full version of the game is released. For others, it was just another reason to complain about having to install security measures at the core level of the system.
OK, I want all the cheaters to be in the beta, so that by the time the game is released, we can figure out how to stop them.
In Black Ops 6 beta, cheaters appeared already in the first hours. It happens. This is how they continue to develop the anti-cheat system.
It's great that they have an anti-cheat system at the core level that makes players change their BIOS settings for extra security in the game...
The video was commented on by Alexia Christofi, the producer of Battlefield 6. She confirmed that the team is aware of the situation, and the player using cheats is most likely already banned.
Currently, the beta tests of Battlefield 6 are ongoing, where people with early access can participate. However, they will be open to all interested parties tomorrow.
Battlefield 6 is coming to PC, PS5, and XSX/S. The full version is set to be released on October 10th.
