Shadow Warrior 2 Devs are Currently Working on Three Games

In an interview that appeared on WccfTech, the CEO of the Polish studio Flying Wild Hog revealed that the developers are currently working on three titles simultaneously. Two of them are to be AAA titles and will be announced later this year.

Shadow Warrior 2 devs will announce two big games this year.
IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Polish devteam Flying Wild Hog is currently working on three titles;
  • Two of them will be full-fledged AAA titles, to be announced later this year;
  • We don't know yet whether they're going to hit next gen consoles;
  • The studio is also considering porting older games to Nintendo Switch.

WccfTech published an extensive interview with Michal Szustak, CEO of the Polish video game studio Flying Wild Hog. It addresses the general subject of the industry (e.g. VR technology, next-gen consoles or 'gaming in the cloud'), as well as the games that the developers are currently working on. Thus, we learned that the studio is currently developing three titles, two of which will be announced later this year. Both are to be full-fledged AAA titles.

"So we are working on two titles in Warsaw, with some support from the other teams. And those teams together are working on the third project."

"In my opinion, we will finally deliver a full triple-A experience with these two titles. The third title is a little smaller, but it's still an original action game with awesome quality and fun."

When asked whether upcoming games will be released on next-gen consoles, Szustak simply said that he is not allowed to talk about it now. However, he later added that he does not rule out ports of older games to Nintendo Switch. This is a distant vision for the time being, because it requires a lot of work.

"I'm thinking about this a lot. Honestly. The biggest problem we have is actually our engine. If it had been done using Unreal, it would be released immediately, but to port, our engine to the Switch is a big task. So we're thinking about it but I don't know what's going to happen. I would be super happy to have all our Flying Wild Hog games on the Switch."

The last game developed by Flying Wild Hog was Shadow Warrior 2, which was released in 2016. Since then, the developers have not slowed down, so that further games are already on their way. It is worth recalling that in March, last year the Polish studio was bought out by Supernova Capital.
