Difficult Games are Hype - Sifu With Great Sales
The high difficulty level of Sifu did not discourage players from checking out this interesting game. The proof is the excellent sales boasted by devs at Sloclap.
Independent game Sifu was quite a success. Already in the first week after release the game by Sloclap managed to sell over 500 thousand copies, which the creators boasted on Twitter.
Half a million copies sold may not be impressive compared to the results of even relatively niche series. Not to mention comparisons with high-budget games.
Nevertheless Sifu has done very well compared to other independent games and debuting IPs. Especially since the title is not the easiest game on the market - it was the high difficulty level discouraged some critics from playing the game.. Not that there's much to complain about, as you can see from the metascore of 65 reviews at 80/100 (for the PlayStation 5 console version).
Recall that the developers promised to support Sifu after the release, which will translate into the release of additional content. Unfortunately, we shouldn't expect multiplayer mode.
