Today sees the launch of The Guild 3 - an economic strategy game with RPG and life simulator elements. Will it be as successful as the previous installments?
Today - after almost five years in early access - marks the launch of The Guild 3. It is the third installment of the economic strategy game series started in 2002, offering not only management, but also RPG and life simulator elements.
The title will take us to the late Middle Ages, where as a townsman dealing with trade and politics, we will have to climb the career ladder to get rich and ensure the position of our dynasty - so that it will stand the test of time and the coming changes in the world.
Key features of The Guild 3 can be found below (via Steam:
Guide your avatar and his or her family to acquire wealth and influence
Become an honest craftsman, trade, start romances, bribe officials or thow bombs and poison your enemies - it's up to you how you amass more and more power
Acquire titles, take positions in town council offices and join a guild
Ranging professions, a complex skill tree and many unlockable actions and bonuses
13 unique scenario maps based on authentic historical locations in Central and Northern Europe
Day and night cycle and seasons that influence game events
Play against AI dynasties or friends in multiplayer matches
It is worth mentioning that the early access version of The Guild 3 has gathered quite decent reviews among players on Steam. Out of almost 5,000 reviews, 60% are positive. The percentage could be higher, but users of Valve's platform complained, among other things, about bugs, or lack of many announced features. Let's hope that most of these problems have been eliminated.
Finally, let me remind you of the system requirements of The Guild 3. They are not excessively high.
