Studio Naughty Dog showed a fresh trailer for The Last of Us Part II Remastered. The teaser shows a new gameplay mode, which begs for the possibility of co-op. In No Return, we will direct Ellie, Abby, Dina, among others, as well as other characters unlocked as we progress. Each character will offer unique traits and a variety of play styles. There will also be no shortage of new skins.

The gameplay in No Return mode will be kept in the roguelike spirit.. The plot will be relegated to the background, and the gameplay will focus on combat, survival and arcade aspects. The trailer shows, among other things, the announcement of weapon upgrades, a character selection screen with their unique features and an invisible enemy. The mode is expected to offer at least 12 different levels.

Remake of the first part of The Last of Us was met with a cold reception from PC gamers - they complained primarily about the abysmal optimization. The game has only 66% positive reviews on Steam (65.7% via SteamDB). Similar problems were not experienced by players who decided to play the title on PlayStation 5 - the console community received the game positively (88/100 on MetaCritic compared to 59/100 for the PC version).

Owners of The Last of Us Part 2 on PlayStation 4, who also own a PS5, will be able to, for a surcharge ($10) upgrade it to the Remastered version. In addition to improved graphics and a new mode, the players will receive among other things, support for DualSense controllers, a mode for speedrunners and access to levels removed from the final version of the game.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will come out on January 19, 2024 for PlayStation 5. The PC version has not been announced as of yet.
