The Sims Already Got Cyberpunk 2077; Mod Adds New Games in The Sims 4

Cyberpunk 2077 launched in The Sims 4. No, it's not CD Projekt RED's new ad campaign. The game together with GTA 5, Sekiro etc. is available in The Sims thanks to the Better Computer Games mod.

If it wasn't for the last delay, we would have been playing Cyberpunk 2077 for a few days now. Unfortunately, we will have to wait almost three more weeks until CD Projekt RED's latest game is released. For now, only a few journalists and... the Sims could check the game. The characters of The Sims 4 can play not only Cyberpunk 2077, but also Sekiro, Grand Theft Auto V and a handful of other games thanks to the Better Computer Games mod. No, these are not just names to choose from. After installation of SimmerWellPupper's mod, the sims receive an almost stereotypical gaming PC, and on the virtual screen we will see gameplay recordings (or trailers), played together with the sound. The only requirements are the basic edition of The Sims 4 and - as the creator of the mod wants - "hatred for Tetris".

The fact that the virtual characters in The Sims 4 have already had seen their "debut" of the game may seem unfair to some. At least until one remembers all the unusual experiments and other ideas of the players, such as trapping the characters in the pool, to which the players have been subjecting the sims for the last 20 years. If the opportunity to play Cyberpunk 2077 earlier is a reward for tolerating this kind of "inconvenience", it's probably better to wait patiently for the actual release. The game will be released on December 10, on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. On 9th-generation platforms the game will receive two dedicated updates, with the larger one available only in 2021. And PC gamers can already check out the updated system requirements.
