The Witcher 3 for PS5 and XSX Inbound; CD Projekt RED Prepares Announcement

CD Projekt will „soon” remind of the upcoming release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

CD Projekt RED is apparently preparing an announcement on the long-awaited release of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

The Polish developer responded to a comment on Twitter under a post revealing the remake of the first installment of the series, concerning the "next-gen" update for the third game. The developers did not elaborate much, limiting themselves to a short "soon :)".

In the previous update on Wild Hunt for PS5 and XSX/S from September 2022, CD Projekt Group assured, that this time it will keep its word and the game will hit 9th-gen platforms in the fourth quarter of 2022. In a recent leak on Reddit (now deleted) there was even an exact date - December 9 (via Game Infinitus) - but it has not been officially confirmed.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S as a separate game, but existing owners will be able to download a free update with improvements. This option will be available not only on consoles - buyers of any PC release will also benefit.
