Valenwood is Another Ambitious Skyrim Mod

Work on TES: Valenwood, another ambitious fan mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, continues. Its creators intend to recreate the south-western province of Tamriel, where the wood elves originate, to Bethesda's popular 2011 game.

Those interested in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim modding scene certainly remember Beyond Skyrim. It is a project prepared by several groups of fans, aimed at enabling us to visit different regions of the Tamriel continent in the hit RPG from Bethesda, originally released in 2011. However, apart from this grand project, there are also other works with similar goals. One of them is TES: Valenwood.

The province of Valenwood, which is to be introduced to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is located in the south-western part of Tamriel. This part of the world is almost completely covered by various types of forests. However, in some places we can find various cities and settlements, inhabited mainly by wood elves, or Bosmer. Valnewood can be visited in The Elder Scrolls: Arena, The Elder Scrolls Online and The Elder Scrolls: Blades.

According to what the creators wrote on Reddit, as part of the Valenwood mod, the players will be able to help solve the succession crisis that occurred in this land after King Eplear's death. As they play, they will visit a number of locations, including the ancient city of Falinesti, the seat of the Camoran dynasty, encounter a variety of characters and confront dangerous enemies with beautifully decorated weapons.

So far, work on TES: Valenwood is at a very early stage. The creators have only shared some concept arts that give a foretaste of what we can expect from the mod. You can see some of them in this news, the rest can be found here.

The TES: Valenwood project was born six months ago in the minds of two lovers of The Elder Scrolls universe. Currently 65 people are working on it. If you would like to join this team, you must fill out the appropriate form here.

As we can see, the whole thing looks very ambitious. However, the question has to be asked, will the creators not run out of steam and fail to complete the project? All we have to do is keep our fingers crossed so that this does not happen.
