Valheim World Generator Tool Offers Preview of the World Map

Valheim World Generator is another fan project for Valheim. It enables the players to preview the topography and places of interest of the world in which they will start the game.

After the last few weeks there's no denying the popularity of Valheim, which - as usual in such cases - translates into new fan-made projects, be it mods, various creations in the game world or various aids to survive in this Nordic survival game. For example, user wd40bomber from Reddit shared a useful tool for Valheim players - a world generator.

Valheim World Generator works on a similar principle as other such projects. After entering or generating a map code (the so-called seed) the website will present a visualization of the generated world, including topography and selected details. We can learn the locations of bosses, camps and other interesting places, so we can immediately go to the next target and avoid accidental encounters with too powerful enemies. Or - if the map doesn't suit us - we can use the tool to check another combination until we get the desired result.

The tool prepared by wd40bomber is still an early version (officialy it's 0.3). This manifests itself not only in the lack of certain features (including support for mobile devices), but also - unfortunately - in incompatibility with few maps and as a result showing the wrong locations of bosses, etc. In addition, the website currently marks all possible locations of the trader, but in practice we'll encounter him in only one of them (i.e. the first one visited by the hero). Nevertheless, it's still a big help for those who don't like any kind of randomness. The project is being constantly developed and probably in some time at least most of the bugs will be ironed out.
