Wartales Gets Helmets; First Major Update Goes Live

Strategic RPG Wartales, the full version of which was very warmly received by players, received a major update yesterday. This is the first so-called Community Update, which hit version 1.0 of the game. It added a lot of new features and fixed many bugs.

According to the development roadmap for 2023 the June update introduced a number of new features to Wartales, including helmets. For specific classes, they differ in appearance and provide a variety of new skills (about 30 have been added). In connection with the helmets, a new seal feature has appeared in the game. This enables you to combine a specific skill with a helmet that would not normally have it.

All leaders (of bands and squads, among others) will have helmets, and other enemies will start wearing them gradually as the player's level increases. As in most RPGs, it is possible to hide our character's helmet in the game while retaining its effects.

In addition, the Community Update:

1. introduced a new enemy, which is Ghost Bear. After defeating it, you will be able to get the Colossal Paw item, which is needed to craft new rare layers;
2. improved the mechanics of ambushes;
3. brought changes in gaining experience points - now leveling is expected to take much less time, especially from levels 6 to 9. The changes also apply to specific professions;
4. balanced gameplay in many aspects that were previously too easy; increased the levels of enemies encountered in forests, among other things;
5. introduced 3 new songs that can be played by bards;
6. added a quick save shortcut;
7. fixed many bugs.

The next major update is scheduled for the third quarter of this year. It is expected to add, among other things, new character progression paths to the game.
