Witcher: Total War is Still Alive - New Screenshots and Information From Creators

Witcher: Total War, a mod for Medieval 2: Total War set in a fantasy world created by Andrzej Sapkowski, is still under development. Recently its creators shared a handful of new screenshots and information.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Witcher: Total War mod for Medieval 2: Total War, the action of which will take place in the Witcher universe, is still in preparation;
  2. The creators revealed screenshots presenting units;
  3. The project will be released in the form of smaller campaigns. Ultimately it will include 29 factions.

Medieval II: Total War is a game with a multitude of mods that refer to various works of pop culture. We have projects taking place in the universes of Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, D&D's Forgotten Realms, The Elder Scrolls or Warcraft. Also a mod that will enable us to fight battles in the world of the Witcher - Witcher: Total War - has been in preparation for a long time now. We first wrote about it in December 2019. Recently, the creators published a new report on the status of work.

The message reveals that in recent months the creators of Witcher: Total War were busy with units for the game's numerous factions. They released screenshots showing three of them, belonging to the Nilfgaard Empire - Alba Division, Nauzicaa Brigade and Impera Brigade (you may know them for example from Gwent: The Witcher Card Hame). And unfortunately, that's all we've so far, when it comes to details. However, the creators assured that the development of Witcher: Total War is going in the right direction and they hope that they will be able to share more materials soon.

The goal of the people responsible for Witcher: Total War is to prepare 29 playable factions. Most likely, however, players will not have to wait until all of them are ready. The developers reveal that they will not release the entire modification at once, but gradually, in the form of smaller campaigns, They take place in different times and corners of the map and focus on a limited number of factions (from three to six). However, we don't know when the first of them will see the light of day.
