One of WoW Dragonflight's Biggest Attractions Coming to Base Game Realms

Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that other World of Warcraft lands will receive the option to fly dragons in the future. So far, this has been an exclusive attraction of the Dragonflight DLC.

Dragonflight - World of Warcraft DLC released in 2022 - received a positive reception from fans of the series. Its popularity is not only due to a completely new approach to the development of the classic brand, but also the introduction of interesting mechanics to the expansion, such as the ability to ride the eponymous winged beasts. This feature has gained great popularity among the players, but unfortunately it has one drawback - it is reserved only for the aforementioned DLC.

However, as it turns out, in unspecified future this attraction will break free from the fetters of the Dragon Islands and will also spread to other lands of the game.. At least, that's according to the information provided by Blizzard staff on the official forum of World of Warcraft . In addition, the developers announced that they are working on a wider range of these aerial means of transportation.

"As dataminers noted, we are indeed working on a dragon-flying feature outside of the Dragon Islands and are expanding the set of mounts with which to take to the skies...," reads Blizzard's statement.

The above announcement from the developers is a response to a recent finding (via Gamespot) made by players digging through the files of the public test version of the upcoming Fractures in Time update for Dragonflight. Dataminers discovered several clues saying that Blizzard is working on adding the option to fly dragons throughout Azeroth.

Unfortunately, the developers' post lacked information on when exactly the feature will become available in other areas. Everything will depend on how advanced the developers are in their work. Therefore, there is nothing left for us to do but to be patient and await further information on the matter.
