How to get more magicka points in Oblivion? Our TES IV Oblivion Remastered guide will come to your aid, as we explain in detail how to increase magicka, either permanently or temporarily. You will learn about the attributes, races, and birthsigns associated with maximum magicka.
How to get more magicka points?
- The Intelligence attribute is the one primarily responsible for using magicka. Developing it will permanently increase the maximum magicka available to your character. Spend development points on Intelligence when advancing to higher experience levels.
We also recommend developing the Willpower attribute. This will allow you to regenerate magicka faster.
The following things also contribute to the number of magicka points:
- Character race - Bretons have 50 more points at their disposal, and High Elves - as much as 100 more points.
- Birthsign - The Atronach guarantees as much as 150 additional points (this comes at the cost of independent regeneration - you have to renew magicka manually), Mage provides 50 points, and The Apprentice - 100 points (at the cost of increased susceptibility to magicka by 100%).
To sum up, the recommended configuration is a High Elf with the Atronach birthsign.
Temporary increase of maximum magicka
- You can also temporarily increase magicka by using the Fortify Magicka effect. The easiest way to obtain it is to visit any Ayleid Well on the world map. Interacting with it will provide you with 50 additional magicka points and this state will last for 5 minutes.
We have marked all the wells on our interactive map. Thanks to that, you can go drain each well one by one.
- Some Sigil Stones can also provide you with the Fortify Magicka effect. Once you find a stone with this effect, you can use it to enchant a piece of equipment. This will allow you to gain 50 additional magicka points while using enchanted equipment.
- Additionally, it is worth looking for ready-made equipment items that will grant the Fortify Magicka effect or increase the hero's intelligence.
