Novigrad's Farcorners: Description
The map above shows the Farcorners. This small location doesn't hide many interesting places - two forests, fields and a small village. It's a border that separates Novigrad from Velen with Pontar river. The map shows all the interesting places which you should visit during your journey, quick travel signposts and all stronger opponents.
Novigrad's Farcorners: Most important places
1. Julia Kenyon journal
In a house in the city you will find a journal lying on a desk. This journal starts the "Cat school gear" scavenger quest.
5. Port city
A small city in which you will find notice board and Helma - a contact linked to one of the quests. In one of the houses you will find a journal that starts scavenger quest as well.
6. Cunny of the Goose Inn
You can play gwent with the innkeeper; here, you will also find a person that will give you reward for the witcher contract. There is a herbalist sitting in front of the inn.

Helma (M5,5) - Your contact in the witcher contract "The White Lady"
Herbalist (M5,6) - He sits in front of the inn, it is not always possible to talk to him.
Novigrad's Farcorners: Enemy types
Drowner
Rotfiend
Bandit
Nekker
Basilisk
Wraith
Wyvern
Endrega - This insect creature that attacks with his venom. It's very fast and quite resistant. They have two types: a much smaller and less dangerous worker, and a large, scorpion-like warriors that attack with their poisonous tail and can jump to you.
Leszen - these are slightly unique monsters. They look like a doll made from wood and bones. They are very resistant but easy to defeat (if you fight with them one on one) because they are slow and don't have many special attacks. Fire is very effective against them, so use Igni sign and various bombs.
Novigrad's Farcorners: Tips
Farcorners is not a good place for beginners. Suggested level for this location is 4-5, although if you only need to reach Novigrad, then by running through the fields you shouldn't meet any other opponents than bandits. If you would like to complete all markers in this location then you should be at around 12 level. You won't find many quests here and only 3 witcher contracts.
You won't find any blacksmith or a good merchant here, so it is best to immediately reach Novigrad to trade there. You will find a herbalist near one of the inns but he is not always interested in his client.
