Accessing the side quest
- Reach the Lake Calenhad location and go to Lake Calenhad Docks.
- Here, you can initiate Mages' Collective side quest. Your task will be to reach 4 of the titular locations - we list them below.
List of Places of Power
- Reach the grave in the central part of West Brecilian Forest location.
- Reach the Circle Tower and then go to Apprentice Quarters. In the central room, there is an armchair you can interact with.
PS3 and Xbox 360 versions may have a bug that will prevent you from interacting with the armchair. Try to approach it from a different angle and try again.
- Go to the altar in Ortan Thaig location. This area is also a quest location for Asunder quest from the Orzammar region.
- Finally, go to the base of the large tree located in the area of Elven Alienage in Denerim.
- The successful completion of the quest is rewarded with XP and gold.
If the Elven Alienage is still locked, wait for it to open which happens in the course of the main storyline. This happens after arriving in Denerim with Arl Eamon.
