15 Most-Wanted MMORPGs Coming in 2020

MMORPGs aren't dead – quite to the contrary, they're doing pretty well. In this article, we're taking a look at the most interesting projects that should be released between 2020 and 2021.

Table of Contents

City of Titans

  1. How long we've been waiting: 6 years
  2. Slated to release: late 2020 or early 2021
  3. Distinguishing features: superheroes, freedom in character creation, evolution of powers

Once upon a time, fans of MMORPG had a range of superhero games to choose from. Over time, most of these productions died, leaving two substantial, though not necessarily popular games on the market – which is why many people look to City of Titans for a chance to go back to a time when spandex, capes, and underwear were fashionable in MMO's, not just cinemas. And then there's shooting laser guns, don't forget that one.

City of Titans can be a nice surprise, because it's created by fans of the late City of Heroes. The developers call their project a spiritual successor to that MMORPG. We will get an extensive character creation tool, allowing us to make the hero of our dreams. The initial pool of skills will be limited to allow more development possibilities.

When it comes to being good or evil, City of Titans will offer a division into factions. Still, the struggle between superheroes and supervillains will only constitute the background of the game. It will offer a fascinating story that will affect the state of the world.
