If you start your Blair Witch adventure at 6 p.m., you should find yourself in one of the finals of this haunted forest tale before midnight. You can tell by the title alone that the game is related to a popular horror movie that pretended to be amateur footage. Polish studio Bloober Team, however, bet on the original plot. In a nutshell: the 90s, the boy is missing in the forest, the ex-policeman (the player) and their dog go looking for him.

We're talking about a short but fairly intense adventure with more wandering around a pretty nice forest and suspense than actual action. However, that doesn't mean there aren't elements of combat.

If you haven't had a chance to get to know Bloober's work yet, but you like thrillers, this might be a good start to that "acquaintance". However, it is worth mentioning that five hours is actually quite long for this team. The first Layers of Fear could be completed in less than four hours.

A Short Hike

A Short Hike is one of those games that makes your heart warmer, plus it's a pretty short experience. Created on the Unity engine, this gem looks a bit like a child's drawing. Here we play as a bird with a red headband. The heroine's name is Claire and she doesn't save the world or even her own sister. While on vacation, she spots a mountain peak and decides to climb it.

There will be adventures and encounters along the way, but they won't be boss fights. The tour schedule includes walking, climbing and gliding on bird wings. For variety - fishing, treasure hunts and conversations with the animals you meet. Sounds relaxing and that's exactly what it is.

Of course, it takes an hour and a half just to get through the game. On the other hand, if you decide to visit every nook and cranny here, a single playthrough of A Short Hike may even take you about three or four hours. However, you don't have to worry about the fun stretching out over two evenings.
