Most Wanted Video Games of 2022. Editors' Choice

The countdown to 2022's biggest releases can begin – especially since potential blockbusters are just around the corner – coming in February! So here's an editorial ranking of the most anticipated games in 2022.

Table of Contents

1. God of War: Ragnarok – boy, boy?

  1. Release date: 2022
  2. Genre: TPP action game
  3. Developer: Santa Monica Studio / Sony Interactive Entertainment
  4. Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5

What will God of War: Ragnarok be about?

This is the fifth part of the cycle started in 2005, and for some the second, because the adventures of the aged Kratos in the last God of War started a completely new chapter of this series, providing an opportunity to finally get to know the famous warrior from Sparta. Ragnarok begins a few years after the events of the previous game. The Great Winter has already arrived in Midgard, announcing the end of the world. In these events, the already known son of Kratos, Atreus, is to play a role, and his strict, though very caring father will do everything to protect the boy from another danger. In God of War: Ragnarok , spectacular battles, environmental puzzles, well-designed locations and an addictive story await us again.

Why are we waiting?

The Santa Monica studio team created one of the best games of the past generation, in which practically everything was extraordinary – audiovisual setting, combat system, story, puzzles and world design. The father-son relationship was shown very reliably, in which one could feel how much Kratos worried about Atreus and was ready to do anything for him, despite his apparent severity. As for the sequel, we expect similar impressions and emotions, i.e. a game at the highest possible level , which will repeat the success of other Sony exclusives.
