  1. Genre: extremely violent and emotional rollercoaster, action-adventure game

The first game, which told the story of a journey through America of bitter Joel and teenage Ellie, was a narrative masterpiece designed by Naughty Dog studio. The Last of Us: Part II is a game of a much larger scale than the previous part of the franchise. There's more of everything here – locations, main and side characters, action and killing. Very brutal killingThe players were not spared any details, as if directly showing that they take co-responsibility for what is happening on the screen. At the same time, the creators convey a message that suggests the world around us is not only black and white, good or evil, but that each side has the right to perceive things from an individual point of view. Unfortunately, such approach does not always meet with a positive reception – after all, we as players prefer to become knights in silver armors who have to save innocent princesses.

You don't have to love or hate this game. It has to be played – without any prejudice and without following any hype (or discouraging comments of those who didn't even finish it). It is true that the core of the gameplay is not much different from what we know from the first part. However, when it comes to industry standards, it is a very ambitious title, especially in terms of all emotions it evokes as you play through the main story. This game sets out new standards and breaks the barriers of contemporary video games which are targeted at mature audience.
