The fourth installment of the Resident Evil series is, according to many players, the most iconic one. That's why it couldn't be any different, and after the well-reviewed remake of the second and slightly worse third part, Capcom gave us the renewed Resident Evil 4. The production has been moved to the new RE Engine. Apart from a comprehensive redesign of the graphics, the title has also seen changes in other areas.
New features introduce a small revolution and affect gameplay. In the RE4 Remake, there are, among others, new puzzles, ability to shoot while moving, increased difficulty levels (especially in the first chapters – there are now a dozen or so, not just a few), the knife can wear out, but it can be used to parry almost all attacks, some segments have been extended, and others have been shortened. There is also more shooting than in the original. Apart from the fact that the game has undergone significant changes, it remained untouched in some areas. Some things were also completely removed.
The plot, however, has not changed. Once again, we guide the former police officer Leon S. Kennedy. The same one that appeared in the original RE2. Full of darkness and ubiquitous monsters, including human ones, the story begins with the search for the president's daughter. Then it only gets more interesting. The plot is a strong suit of this Capcom's release.
