Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead

The task ahead is a simple one – defeat the local leader, who has a sizable army at his disposal. The action takes place in Dubai, which is devastated by sand storms. The plot of the game presents the player with grave moral dilemmas on more than one occasion.

The game's plot is told mostly through pictures and events as most of the lines are written in unintelligible, fictional language. In Tunic, we explore big, partially open maps, gather items, and fight many various enemies, including powerful bosses. Developers created an arcade combat system that allows us to execute various attacks and dodges.
