Strategy games. Victory depends here on player’s strategy and tactics. Main task is to control resources (e.g. troops, civil workers) in order to defeat an enemy or achieve some other goal. The gameplay can be turn-based or in real time (RTS). Specific types of strategy games are economic games and so called ‘tycoons’.

A space strategy inspired by the TV Show Battlestar Galactica, The Lost Fleet series of novels by John Hemry, and the video game FTL: Faster Than Light. In a distant future, the player assumes the role of a captain of the last remaining ship from a destroyed armada and hunted by a mysterious enemy. XO is played in real time, but the game offers an option of active pause. In battles the ships' movements are limited to two dimensions, but their behavior is simulated by an advanced physics engine.

The game offers four different scenarios set within different periods of Napoleon's rule. The battles are fought on the strategical level, so the player controls entire armies instead of individual soldiers.
