An old-school real-time strategy game set in a fantasy world and created by Petroglyph - an experienced team popular mainly games such as Star Wars: Empire at War, Universe at War: Earth Assault or Grey Goo. 8-bit Hordes is based on the classic RTS mechanics. The game presents a conflict between the Dark Orcs and the Lightbringers. The latter are a coalition of humans, dwarves and elves. The player gathers resources, expands their base, produces units and fights the enemy forces.

During the game the player is tasked with destroying all ships of his opponent. The ships are hidden in various parts of the map that is divided into a grid. The player observes their avatar from a third-person view and the gameplay focuses on building up the deck. The expansion titled Call of the Beastmen allows the players to take control of a completely new playable faction of Beastmen in a new story campaign dedicated to them. The titular race of humanoid beasts was created due to mutation of humans under the influence of Chaos. The Beastmen have a very aggressive way of fighting.

Their task is to lead their superpower to global domination.

The player takes control of forces of either Russia or Turkey and joins the conflict. Depending on which nation the player selects, various tasks will await him. Turkey must protect its air space but can't start the war on its own or threaten the Russian soldiers.

Galaxy of Trian is set in a science-fiction universe, in which humanity gained access to advanced technology of an alien race, Trian, and uses it to strengthen rivaling nations. Gameplay mechanics match the tabletop original.
