Strategy games. Victory depends here on player’s strategy and tactics. Main task is to control resources (e.g. troops, civil workers) in order to defeat an enemy or achieve some other goal. The gameplay can be turn-based or in real time (RTS). Specific types of strategy games are economic games and so called ‘tycoons’.

An economic strategy from a well-known series. We move there until the 16th century and become the commander of one of several factions. While having fun we build cities, colonize new areas and interact with other countries. The creators prepared 250 buildings and improved many aspects of the game, including artificial intelligence. The solo campaign was complemented by a few additional modes and a multiplayer.

The sixth major installment in the highly popular series of economical strategies started in 1993 by Blue Byte. After the very innovative fifth installment, the developers decided to go back to the good old solutions and only improve them with some new features. The general premise of the game hasn’t changed - the player is still tasked with controlling a small village and transforming it into a modern, well-fortified metropolis.

An innovative real-time strategy game set in a fantasy universe. Dungeon Keeper was created by Peter Molyneux’s Bullfrog Productions, the studio known for the Populous and Syndicate series. Unlike many dungeon crawlers popular in 1990s, Dungeon Keeper does not put you in the shoes of an adventurous hero, instead letting you play as a demonic lord of dungeons. Your main task is building an expansive net of dungeons and defending them from raiding heroes.

The story of UFO: Enemy Unknown takes place in an alternate reality of the year 1999, where the players take on the role of the leader of X-COM, an organization created to prevent potential alien threats. When reports from many corners of the world come in about numerous missing people, terrorized cities and hideous genetic experiments - X-COM soldiers have to move in.

Admiral's Edition was created by Henderson Field Designs and takes the player back to the World War II period. The player takes part in the conflict between the US and Japan, which took place in the Pacific theater. In terms of mechanics, Admiral's Edition is an improved version of the original game, which offers many novelties and changes.

Mordheim: City of the Damned

A tactical RPG with turn-based combat set in the popular universe of Warhammer. The game is a debut project of the Canadian studio Rogue Factor, founded by veterans of the video game industry. This title is based on a classic tabletop battle game Mordheim, which, in contrast to most of the games set in this universe, did not feature grand battles but small clashes of individual units. The game is set 500 years before the Warhammer’s main story, in the titular Mordheim City.
