Trainz Simulator: A New Era is another game from the popular simulator series, Trainz that, as its title suggests, opens a new era in the history of the series. The game was developed by N3V Games, a studio created by the series' original developers from Auran. A New Era uses a brand new engine. Thanks to that, gameplay is more realistic and the visuals are of the highest quality. Both the train models and the environment have more details to them, and thanks to the improved physics, visuals, and dynamic weather the game is even closer to reality. Introduction of the new game engine brought many changes, but the gameplay mechanics remain intact. We still design our own railways and test them. Traditionally, there is a set of pre-made routes available and many highly detailed railway engine models.

A stylish game developed by Team Colorblind, an independent studio based in Phoenix, Arizona. The game combines elements of two seemingly incompatible video game genres – turn-based strategy and brawler. The story is set 20 years before the Spanish Conquistadors came to America, and the player is tasked with expanding the Aztec empire, collecting taxes, and handling various randomly generated events. As far the game employs the turn-based strategy convention, the player might have to use brutal force to punish citizens who do not pay their taxes, or slaughter everyone infected during an epidemic when all other attempts to cure them have failed. What is worth mentioning, the game is based on broad historical knowledge resulting from the developers’ passion, who implemented into the game over 30 Aztec cities and different types of Aztec warriors, all of which makes for a faithful representation of the authentic locations and factual units. Aztez features an original, monochromatic visuals brought to life only by the red color of the blood gushing all over player’s screen.

A sandbox fantasy MMORPG with voxel-based graphics. This title was created by an American studio Trion Worlds, known for such titles as RIFT and Defiance. The game’s ever-changing world consists of various landscapes, where you can meet dozens of players at the same time. While playing, you traverse a randomly generated world and complete story missions focused on dungeon exploration and fight the monsters standing in your way. The experience you gain by your character lets you advance it to next levels and develop the character's skills, which depend on the chosen class. Taking example in other, similar games, Trove allows you to reshape the terrain, gather resources, and make use of a complex crafting system that lets you create your own tools and buildings. It is also possible to assemble a team to embark missions together, or play in PvP.

A free-to-play third-person action game designed mainly with multiplayer gameplay in mind. The title is set in the universe known from the cult Legacy of Kain series, although the story is unrelated to the previous games. The game was created by a small studio Psyonix, who worked on the multiplayer modes for games like Bulletstorm, Gears of War, or Mass Effect 3. In the game you can play as either a human or a vampire, fighting in a war for control over the world. Depending on the faction you choose, gameplay looks slightly different, as the humans prefer to use advanced technology in combat, while vampires rely on their special powers. Each side offers three character classes and experience-based character progression system. As the creators intended, the micropayment system used in the game is rather modest and the transactions give no one an upper hand in combat.

An unusual Tower Defense strategy game developed by ACE Team. The game was designed for two players. Each of them is being given a castle. One player must protect the gates of his castle from the opponent. The fortresses are connected by a long and winding road through which a giant, rocky ball is rolling. While the attacker is trying to control the ball in such way so that it hits the enemy’s gate with it, the defender focuses on positioning troops and buildings that will stop or slow down the opponent. After each turn the roles are swapped. Rock of Ages allows for playing online and on a single machine. The unusual graphics style is an advantage of the game – the levels were designed based on various art styles like renaissance, gothic and the works of Francisco Goya.

Production of this title began simultaneously with the development of Capcom's Street Fighter X Tekken, but unlike its competitor it features the mechanics and visuals of the Tekken series. Compared to earlier titles from said franchise, the game stands out due to slightly different set of characters to choose from. Aside from well-known characters, the roster also includes fighters borrowed from the Street Fighter series. The crucial task for the creators of Tekken X Street Fighter was adapting the guest warriors' models, move sets, fighting styles, and special attacks to Tekken’s setting and the game's arenas, which are fully three-dimensional.

The first DLC for Borderlands, a successful action game that combines shooter with RPG elements. It was developed by Gearbox Software. Similarly to the vanilla version, the action of The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned takes place on the post-apocalyptic planet of Pandora, although in a completely new location: the town of Jakobs Cove, the inhabitants of which were accidentally transformed into bloodthirsty zombies by the mad doctor Ned. The player’s task is to restore normality, which is a perfect excuse for facing hordes of the living dead. There are many kinds of these—they can run, crawl, jump, spit acid, or detonate their body parts. Among them, there are also new powerful bosses. To defeat them, we’ll make use of new weapons and unique items. The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned offers 6 to 10 hours of gameplay. The expansion can be started by a character on level 10 at least. Compared to the basic version of the game, the production has an even larger dose of dark humor, with the locations being darker as well.
