A light-hearted arcade game developed by Neon Deity Games which draws from classic side-scrolling shooters. In Shutshimi, player assumes the role of an unusual goldfish that ventures into the deepest parts of the ocean in order to face the dangers which threaten the safety of the marine kingdom. Regrettably, the main hero – as every fish – has a problem with long-term memory, and remembers only last ten seconds. This results in a strange situation, where we take part in brief shootouts with incoming opponents, only to see the level cut short after a moment. However, we can pick up various upgrades between the bouts, and unlock special items that alter the gameplay. Every now and then, a more demanding mini-boss appears, who has to be dealt with in… 10 seconds. The players can act alone, or take advantage of a cooperation mode for up to 4 players.

Following the path of the genre’s classic titles, gameplay comes down to completing more or less absurd quests during which your character earns experience points necessary to gain experience levels. The production also features a variety of enemies and a whole range of ridiculous activities. Apart from changed visuals - now kept in a fantasy style - there are loads of bugs just like in the original title - many of them are implemented on purpose.

A sequel to the logic puzzle game by Tiger Style, released for mobile devices in 2009. Spider: Rite of the Shrouded Moon features a brand new story, and it's set in the enormous Blackbird manor, built years ago by a secret society in order to execute a mysterious plan, of which no one knows anything now. Again, you play as a little spider, which has a chance to discover the manor's secrets and its builders' intentions, all while obtaining some food. The basic mechanics have remained the same, and the gameplay focuses mostly on exploring locations, solving puzzles, and hunting delicious insects. An important factor is creating proper webs. Apart from the logical aspect, the game also features an expansive plot, which is revealed step by step as the game progresses, thanks to information and hints you find.

An unusual combination of a digital board game, a card game, and a turn-based strategy with RPG elements. Funded partially by a Kickstarter campaign, Armello is a game by independent Australian artists and developers from League of Geeks studio. Armello is set in a fairytale-like fantasy world populated by anthropomorphic animals. There are four clans striving to take away the power from the corrupted king. Gameplay centers on exploration, accomplishing missions, and combat. In turns, heroes move around a procedurally-generated hex board. Not only do you supply your characters with better and better equipment, but also assemble a deck of cards. They can give you different kinds of items and actions that can be taken during a combat. Armello allows you to play against AI or other players. Visuals combine 2D and 3D elements and the fairytale-like atmosphere resembles animations made by Disney. The soundtrack was composed by Michael Allen and Lisa Gerrard known from Dead Can Dance band.

A continuation of the warmly-received spin-off of the Tomb Raider series in which adventures of beautiful archaeologist are seen from the isometric view, which is unusual for the series. The game is once again developed by Crystal Dynamics and this time the action takes us to Egypt, where you will visit the titular Temple of Osiris as well as some other places. Mechanics have not changed – complemented with characteristic elements of the Tomb Raider series, like exploration and solving puzzles, combat and arcade aspects are emphasized. Gameplay concentrates on cooperation, offering, apart from Lara, three other playable characters of various classes and skills. Interestingly, depending on the number of players, gameplay will be different. More players means more puzzles and more enemies. As the game debuted on the new generation of consoles, visuals are stunning.

This title is produced by a new developer, Gaming Minds Studios, who also created the fourth installment of the Patrician series and similar Rise of Venice. The game begins in the year 1050 and is set on a vast area comprised of Europe, North Africa, and Middle East. The player's main goal is to build a prosperous kingdom through the development of its infrastructure, resource accumulation, production of goods, and trade. What makes the task difficult, are various random events (earthquakes, droughts, or pestilences), as well as hostile nations. In order to protect your kingdom, you have to create a strong army, constituting a wide array of units: archers, infantry, and cavalry. When it comes to technical aspects, the game uses the 3D engine known from the studio's previous productions.

A sequel to a cRPG developed by Daedalic Entertainment, in which the player is tasked with leading a team of raiders in order to save Aventuria from the attack of the Nine Hordes. In the sequel, the action is set in the same universe, several years after the events depicted in Blackguards. The story revolves around Cassia – a ruthless woman, who recruits former members of our team to take the control of the realm. Similarly to the previous installment, the game focuses on turn-based battles based on modified rules of Das Schwarze Auge pen&paper RPG system. The key aspect is the proper utilization of surroundings and unique abilities possessed by each character. Apart from a number of new skills, items, opponents, and improvements suggested by the gaming community, the game introduces a strategic aspect, allowing the player to conquer consecutive territories throughout Aventuria.

The Room is a novel production combining elements of HOPA and logic game genre. The game is a remake of a critically-acclaimed mobile title, and was developed by an independent studio, Fireproof Games. The action of The Room takes place in the eponymous space, in which an extraordinarily complicated safe hides many secrets. The task is to get into the safe by solving a set of logic puzzles. The mechanics boil down to manipulating the elements of the lock, and fitting a key to slots that match it, as well as searching the room for hidden items. Some of the elements of the puzzles can’t be seen with bare eye – they can only be spotted when looking through a special lens. The authors managed to retain the dark atmosphere of the original; compared with the mobile version, the changes mainly concern the graphics.

Super Meat Boy: Forever is a spin-off of the Super Meat Boy series developed by Team Meat. Once again, we get a 2D game where action is presented from a side-scrolling perspective. This time, however, we do not have full control over the titular character. He continuously runs ahead, we can only help him avoid all sorts of traps and obstacles. We will also have fight with powerful bosses every once in a while. In addition to single player, the game offers the so-called Endless mode where we have to run as far as possible and survive as long as possible. Our score is then published in online rankings when we can compare our times with the achievements of other players. The game has cartoonish visuals and lots of dark humor in it. Super Meat Boy: Forever has many references to other games, i.e. unlockable characters from various indie productions.

A turn-based strategy game set in a steampunk world and inspired by both the mechanics of the Puzzle Quest series and the works of such writers as Herbert Wells or Jules Verne. Ironcast is set in an alternative version of the Victorian England, and the country has been at war with France for a decade. When the French are beginning to gain the upper hand in the conflict, a private association is founded in order to produce cutting-edge combat mechs. The player battles subsequent skirmishes that utilize the mechanics once introduced in the so-called "match-3" logic games. During each turn, the player can match objects on the map up to three times, erasing elements which symbolize money, ammo, energy, repairs, or the mech's cooling system. Afterwards, those are used to reinforce the player's combat machines, as well as to activate different special abilities. The in-game campaigns are randomly generated, and each time, the player's goals are to stop the forces of the French, and defeat their boss in a final fight.

Helldivers is an arcade cooperative science fiction shooter developed by Arrowhead, creators of the humorous action RPG Magicka. The game takes place in a distant future where players take the roles of the members of the elite Helldivers unit whose job is to protect the politically divided planet known as Super Earth. It was attacked by three alien races. Players have to finish procedurally generated missions in order to save mankind. Before we start, we can choose up to four special abilities for our unit. As we progress, we get new weapons and upgrades. Missions take place in tours that last for a couple of weeks. The game's campaign (which can be finished in single player mode) is the same for the game's entire community, so the successes and failures of other players influence the story's outcome.

The second part of the cult series of turn-based tactical games by Sir-Tech studio. As the commander of a group of mercenaries, we try to liberate the Arulco state from the reign of the bad queen. Between missions we manage the base, train soldiers and accept orders. The combat system itself offers a lot of options and games that enhance the realism of skirmishes.
