An MMO game referred to as a "survival sandbox" by its creators, Daybreak Game Company. H1Z1 takes place in an alternate world, 15 years after the discovery of the titular virus that caused a world-wide zombie epidemic. The few survivors fight for their lives, struggling against zombies, wild animals, and other surviving factions. During the game, players get the chance to build a shelter or even entire cities somewhere in the United States. An extensive crafting system also makes it possible to craft useful items from procured raw materials. On the technical side, H1Z1 uses a modernized version of the Forgelight engine which was previously used in Planetside 2 and EverQuest Next among others. The game uses the free-to-play model with micropayments for some additional features.

The plot takes place in the near future, and tells a story of a group of characters that attempt to discover the truth behind a state-of-the-art data encryption algorithm and survive the encounter with a sinister conspiracy group. Aside from predefined orders, we are given the ability to record our own voice commands that serve as alternative variants of already existing orders. Interestingly enough, the heroes provide their own input on the situation at hand and ask various questions in response to the in-game developments. The game is characteristic for its voice acting recorded by a renowned cast featuring Will Wheaton, Ashley Burch, or Laura Bailey.

A unique fantasy mix of a card game, a board game and an RPG title. We traverse dungeons, fighting monsters and collecting treasures, but not like in typical role-playing games. Everything happens on a virtual table, with us playing a card game in front of The Dealer. We travel through locations by moving a pawn representing our hero on the table and revealing cards that depict enemies, NPCs, locations, and other elements that make our adventure. When we face an enemy, we are taken to a three-dimensional environment and control the hero like in any other TPP action-RPG title. As befits a card game, Hand of Fate isn’t lacking the option of building one’s deck, consisting of parts of equipment, special attacks, and other bonuses gained during game.

The first major standalone expansion for Company of Heroes 2, a popular war strategy game from Relic Entertainment. Contrary to the vanilla game, which focuses on the Russian-German struggle on the Eastern Front, the add-on takes us to the West, letting us assume command over two completely new armies that so far were only available in DLCs. We may lead either the US Army or the German Oberkommando. Each side received new, previously unavailable abilities and enhancements as well as strategic and tactical capabilities. The gameplay was enriched by the introduction of a reworked progression system. There are also new types of units, characteristic of the aforementioned sides of the conflict, to choose from. Despite the fact that The Western Front Armies is dedicated to multiplayer gameplay, it is also possible to compete against the AI.

The second Punic war is the general theme of the expansion; the conflict between Rome and Carthage took place in the third century BC. Importantly, the war was also a conflict of two outstanding commanders - Scipio Africanus and Hannibal, a sworn enemy of Rome. The expansion brings a new campaign which is set in the western part of the mediterranean basin, in the years 218-202 BC (each year lasts 12 turns). The new map is smaller, but more detailed than in the core game; it comprises 19 provinces in total. Apart from the two main factions, the DLC also offers Syracuse, as well as Iberian tribes - the Arevaci and Lusitani. All of these factions were given their own combat units and technology trees. Additionally, both Rome and Carthage have an additional branch of development, which focuses on diplomacy.

A novelty introduced in the expansion is the new version of Batman’s suit that enables the hero to operate under extremely low temperatures. An independent cRPG featuring a turn-based combat system and easily distinguished by its colorful visuals and a fairytale atmosphere. The game was released in three episodes. The player is taken to a fantasy world - the planet Umbra, where a catastrophe occurred in the wake of which the planet ceased to spin. Thus one part of the globe is being constantly scorched by sunlight, while the other remains frozen. The player assumes the role of a young treasure hunter who gathers their team during his journeys and tries to solve the mystery behind the cataclysm. The other playable character here is a young scout - the player can switch between the two characters freely. Traveling across Umbra takes place on the world map; when the player encounters enemies, a separate tactical map is loaded. Making a good use of the characters' abilities is the key to success in turn-based fights. What's more, the player manages their base - where they can develop the characters, both refill and upgrade their equipment, as well as cultivate a magical garden.

The Crow's Eye is a first-person horror adventure game. It was developed by the independent Spanish studio 3D2 Entertainment. We play as a young man who is trapped in the abandoned building of the Medical University in Crowswood against his own will. The building was closed in 1947 after a couple of students disappeared without a trace. We will have to not only find our way out of that place, but also discover its dark secrets. The fact that a mysterious observer watches our every step only makes the situation more complicated. Gameplay in The Crow's Eye is based on exploration and solving more or less complicated riddles and puzzles. Studying the notes and audio and video recordings left in the building also plays an important role in the game. By doing so, we may finally learn what happened there twenty years ago. The game features high-quality 3D visuals. Its atmosphere is built by the interesting visual effects, with the unique play of lights and occasional distortion of the screen leading the way.
