You can play either in versus mode or in cooperation, where teamwork is essential to completing the objective (e.g. eliminate all enemies or protect a target). Knight Squad developers prepared a wide selection of game modes – both classic (Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Last Man Standing) and original (Grail, Soccer, Gladiator). The new edition was developed by Double Fine Production, a studio led by Tim Schafer, the co-author of the original title. The action of the game takes place in a unique version of the afterlife, inspired by noir movies and Mexican folklore. The player assumes control of Manny, a recently deceased who takes over the honorable position of a travel agent with the Department of Death. Dissatisfied with the fact that some of the dead have to embark on a four-year journey to reach the afterlife, our hero receives a lead that turns him onto a huge bribery scandal. Manny has to follow the other souls and reach the afterlife on foot in order to uncover the mystery. Visually, the game maintains the atmosphere and the characteristic animation style seen in the original game.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars is a 2D logic platform game developed by Nintendo. The game uses the most famous characters from the company's cult games. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars we have to make our way through a series of levels where reaching the destination requires us to be creative when facing the many obstacles on our way. Characters move by themselves and go in one direction all the time, changing it only when they bounce off the wall. Players will have to build bridges and blockades in order to lead their heroes from one place to another. The amount of points they get depends on how fast they do so. The game has minimalistic 2D visuals, but it comes with a level editor that allows us to create our own levels and share them with other players.

The Room is a novel production combining elements of HOPA and logic game genre. The game is a remake of a critically-acclaimed mobile title, and was developed by an independent studio, Fireproof Games. The action of The Room takes place in the eponymous space, in which an extraordinarily complicated safe hides many secrets. The task is to get into the safe by solving a set of logic puzzles. The mechanics boil down to manipulating the elements of the lock, and fitting a key to slots that match it, as well as searching the room for hidden items. Some of the elements of the puzzles can’t be seen with bare eye – they can only be spotted when looking through a special lens. The authors managed to retain the dark atmosphere of the original; compared with the mobile version, the changes mainly concern the graphics.

Again, the player assumes the role of a muscular basketballer who traverses diverse locations and fights various enemies, as well as powerful bosses. The players assume control over United States’ 1st Infantry Division, also known as “The Big Red One” during its WWII tour of duty, including Northern Africa, Sicily, and D-Day landings. The game takes place in real time, with the player receiving control over numerous types of units such as infantry, artillery, armored units, or engineering battalions. Our units can amass experience and be refitted with new types of weaponry, which makes them more viable and useful on the battlefield. The developers have not introduced any major changes to the mechanics, keeping the classic top-down view and gameplay seen in other installments of the series. Nevertheless, the players are left with more freedom as to the choice of the location and method of approaching the enemy, while our actions are influenced by weather conditions, type of terrain, or well-being and morale of our units. Aside from the single-player campaign, the game introduces an extensive multiplayer component, with head-to-head and cooperation modes. It should be mentioned that Close Combat: The Bloody First is the first installment of the series that uses a 3D graphical engine, which also offers more detailed models and animations of the individual units.

An extensive DLC for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 - a third-person hack and slash game. The expansion enriches the plot of the core game with a new thread. Interestingly, the Revelations DLC puts the player in the shoes of a different character, which is the main feature here. The player assumes the role of Alucard - a vampire son of Count Dracula, known under the name Trevor Belmont before turning into a bloodsucker. Casting the player in the role of a different character made it possible to view the story of the base game from a slightly different angle. Also, the player goes through the story fragments Dracula was not directly involved in. The new minor story-driven campaign is based on the mechanics of the core game to a great degree. However, both the powers and Alucard's equipment are different from those Dracula had at his disposal. Thus the Revelations DLC brings a refreshment to the successful formula of the base game. As a result, the experience was significantly diversified and given a fresh feel.

Strategy, 4X, Space, Singleplayer.

StarDrive 2 brings a continuation to a complex strategy set in space and created in 2013 by the independent developer Zero Sum Games. The creators developed the concepts the original game was based on, delivering a fresh insight into the interstellar universe that had been being developed for several years. The experience combines the classic turn-based mode with real-time combat. The player's goal is to lead their race through unknown parts of the galaxy in order to establish a powerful space empire, which is done in accordance with the pillars of the 4X strategy genre. The player encounters plenty of alien races in possession of advanced technologies, and the key to success is to conduct diplomatic actions appropriately and make alliances. Obviously, the player will not avoid fighting hostile factions or space pirates, thus it is equally important to develop one's equipment and weaponry. Also, the player will have to hire mercenaries whose job will be to govern different planets or to become the head of the player's fleet. The single-player experience is complemented by the arena mode, which gives an opportunity to fight quick skirmishes against the AI.

Adventure, Fantasy, Humorous, Indie Games, Point-and-click, Singleplayer.

A continuation of the 2009 hilarious adventure game developed by KING Art Games that tells a story of the search for a powerful magical artifact. The story of the second installment picks up one year after the events shown by its predecessor, allowing the players to control the team of heroes aided by an amiable creature named Critter – one might remember all these characters from the first game. Gameplay mechanics haven't changed significantly and they still draw from the solutions typical for point & click adventure games. During the game, the players have to solve many new riddles – in order to do this, one is bound to use the characters’ unique skills. Like in its predecessor, the gameplay in The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is filled with humor making fun of the fantasy clichés found in many books, movies, and games (such as The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Song of Ice and Fire, Discworld, and World of Warcraft). The visuals have been significantly improved but the game still features the same specific style one might remember from the first installment.

An episodic shooter emphasizing tactical elements, set in a universe that combines science fiction and the Western genre. Space Marshals was created by Pixelbite, the studio known mainly for the Reckless Racing series. In the game the player assumes the role of a space lawman, whose task is to capture or eliminate dangerous fugitives that escaped from a maximum security prison. When it comes to gameplay mechanics, Space Marshals fits within the frames of a top-down shooter. However, because your character cannot take much damage before dying you have to use proper tactics in order to succeed. The protagonist can sneak, perform silent kills, use covers, flank opponents, and distract guards using disguises. In combat he uses various weapons, starting from suppressed pistols and all the way to rocket launchers. As a lawman, he does not have to kill all enemies on sight, some of them can be arrested.

An economic strategy game focusing on social aspects. Truck Nation was created by Travian Games, and the Bright Future studio. The player assumes the role of The Corporation's former employee - a driver that suddenly got fired after years of hard work. Along with two acquaintances, the protagonist decides to establish his own company. At the beginning, they can afford only a decaying building and two rusty trucks. Over time however, the company grows and the protagonist can begin to gradually eliminate the competing companies in order to become the new leader. Gameplay takes place on authentic, though simplified, maps featuring characteristic buildings in particular cities. The player takes care of transporting hundreds of kinds of cargo, making use of nearly 50 trucks, which can be additionally modified. Furthermore, investing in new buildings, modernizing them, investing in the infrastructure, buying new trucks and expanding the operations are all an important part of the experience. The game is played in rounds - one lasts 12 weeks and gets dominated by the player who manages to have the largest share in the market. An opportunity to create alliances with other players makes it easier to defeat the competing companies - up to 25 players can be cooperating with each other within one such alliance.

Magnetic: Cage Closed was inspired by the genre classics, including Portal and The Talos Principle. The player assumes the role of an inmate of a futuristic prison called Facility 7. As can easily be imagined, our job will be to escape the facility. Getting out means completing numerous puzzles and avoiding various dangers and traps laid out along the way. Fortunately, our hero is left with a magnetic propulsion device, an item enabling us to pick up and carry objects – environment manipulation can lead to unlocking new passageways or paths leading to new rooms. The game is characterized by dark, heavy atmosphere and randomly generated locations which offer new experience with each new playthrough.
