A third-person action game by Volition which provides an alternative to the incredibly popular Grand Theft Auto series. The action of Saints Row is set in the fictional city of Stilwater where four gangs compete for influence. The players assume the role of a Third Street Saints member, and their task is to perform subsequent missions and build their position in the ranks of the gang. The game puts a number of varied tasks before us, from illegal races or escaping a crowd of paparazzi through classic shootouts to, for example, recapturing a prostitute. We also make use of a rich arsenal of firearms and can count on other gang members’ help if needed. The key gameplay element is the respect factor that we build by completing missions as well as wearing brand clothes and driving expensive cars.

RPG, Internet, MMO, Free-to-play.

2 Moons (also known under the name of Dekaron) is a free MMORPG developed under the lead of David Perry – founder of the famous American studio, Shiny Entertainment. The game takes us to a classic fantasy world, which is at war against evil that has invaded this world through a gate of Abyss, sealed centuries ago. Players take the role of a character belonging to one of six classes and fight for survival in hostile environment, in which the only law is the law of the sword. Gameplay doesn’t strand much from genre’s standards, as we mainly explore, fight monsters, and complete quests to gather experience necessary to develop our character and gain successively better equipment. We can also cooperate and trade with other players. The game stands out mainly due to a rather high amount of brutality and unrefined language used by NPC traders.

Hostile Waters: Antaeus rising features 21 missions, during which you lead various war machines such as tanks, helicopters, or planes. A sequel to Wolfenstein 3D, a popular shooter developed by id Software. Spear of Destiny was released in 1992, soon after the debut of the first game in the series. Because of that, the gameplay mechanics of both titles are very similar. Once again the player assumes the role of William B.J. Blazkowicz, an American Special Forces commando sent to Nazi Germany. This time he is tasked with reclaiming the legendary Spear of Destiny, moved by the Nazis from Versailles and placed in an inaccessible stronghold at the beginning of World War II. Spear of Destiny offers more than a dozen of new maps as well as some new enemies. In contrast to Wolfenstein 3D, the levels aren’t divided into episodes but form a single long mission which ends with a battle against Adolf Hitler. The gameplay remained unchanged – the action is shown from a first-person perspective and the player travels through corridors filled with enemies whom he defeats mostly by using firearms. Defeating a boss is usually rewarded with a key that unlocks passage to a new location.
