A role-playing game by the independent Russian studio MONO, set in a steampunk world. The story takes place in a huge, partially abandoned space station, which has served as a shelter for a humanoid race called the Nomans. Years ago, they were forced to leave their home planet. The players take on the roles of the station's inhabitants, recently woken from hibernation, and have to complete a series of quests, mostly consisting of fighting enemies in real time. By exploring locations, which are dynamically generated in part, you need to watch your basic vitals, such as hunger, exposure, fatigue, oxygen level or sustained injuries. Fortunately, you can use a wide range of equipment, which is irretrievably lost when you die. The game features an isometric point of view and the visuals are fully 3D, resembling popular post-apocalyptic productions, such as Fallout or Wasteland.

Thanks to this, we can make use of all the previously featured races, factions, and technologies. The gameplay mechanics follow the rules of 4X strategy games, and the fun revolves around developing all aspects of your galactic empire. Depending on the player’s preferences, we can base our power on trade and diplomacy or aggressive military conquest. Apart from significant visual improvements, the developers also completely revamped the ship design system and options connected to management and diplomacy. The game’s map is divided into hexes which allows us to apply completely different strategies. For the first time in the history of the series, the title features a full-fledged multiplayer mode.

You run through colorful, linear locations filled with obstacles and opponents to beat, as well as simple logic puzzles to solve. At the beginning of each level, you get to pick one of four characters: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad – each of them has some unique skills. In accordance with the series' tradition, Super Mario 3D World is full of all sorts of collectibles, including the brand new bell, which transforms your character into a cat. This form allows you to move faster, be a more effective fighter, and climb to otherwise inaccessible areas.

The game offers an extensive rollercoaster editor, which allows the player to shape even the track curves. One can also equip the rollercoasters with additional amusements. Thanks to an advanced physics engine, wagons move in a realistic manner. Furthermore, the player can also build building restaurants, gift shops, toilets and other structures essential to a well-managed theme park. When the park is ready, the player invites visitors. Interestingly, the game gives an opportunity to assume the role of one such person, simply to try out the rides. What is more, the player can visit someone else's theme park and share their work with other gamers.

The player assumes the role of one of the survivors who is accepted to an organization that explores the planet. The gameplay mechanics combine features of the previous entry in the series with traits of Monster Hunter series. During the game the player is exploring areas of the planet, completing various tasks and he fights the monsters that inhabit the planet.

A roguelike game developed by the independent studio Capybara Games (the authors of Critter Crunch, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery). Below takes place on a mysterious island, the dungeons of which are filled with secrets and unknown technologies. The player assumes the role of a brave man who goes deep into the island armed only with a sword, a shield, a torch, and the curiosity that pushes him forward. While exploring the dark caves, he will encounter hostile creatures that will force him to fight for his life. The game has a unique visual style, a bit familiar to the previous game from Capybara Games – Sword & Sworcery. However, this time developers decided not to use pixel art. Instead, the game has more detailed visuals that sometimes resemble the ones from Journey. The world of Below is dark and most of the time the only thing that lights it up is the torch held by the protagonist. Jim Guthrie, compositor of music for Sword & Sworcery, created atmospheric tracks for this game as well.

The player is able to adjust the power of bumpers, how long will it take for particular elements of the table to wear out, the table's tilt or the number of balls. In comparison to the original game, the textures were changed, resolution was increased and visuals were enriched with advanced effects supported by modern GPUs. What is new here, is also the special Glass-Off Mode allowing the player to control a ball and visit each and every corner of the pinball kingdom thanks to that. Scores can be published in an online ranking. The game modes available here were created both for a single player experience and multiplayer competition between three players in the so-called hot seat mode.

In line with the tradition, the developers introduced a number changes and updates, including a rebuilt career system. The players can once again steer various railway engines – from steam engines through diesel ones and up to modern electric systems. This time, our progress in the game is illustrated by a number of gathered points, which are a currency for different medals and achievements. Additionally, the user interface received a complete overhaul – a more transparent HUD allows for better orientation in the current situation not only for skilled players, but also for complete amateurs. Train Simulator 2014 also introduces a number of new visual effects, as well as high-quality textures. The game is compatible with all previously released add-ons, while the owners of the previous editions receive a free upgrade to the 2014 version.

A spin-off to the space strategy series Starpoint Gemini, developed by creators from Little Green Man studio. The ideas for the game were based on players’ feedback gathered during Steam Early Stage. The action of Starpoint Gemini Warlords takes place in the same universe as the former titles of the series, and concentrates on rivalry between the ruling Empire and the resistance calling themselves the Gemini League. Gameplay is very similar to that in the title’s former parts. You assume the role of a space ship captain who tries to survive in the world ravaged by conflicts by trading in resources, hunting down various criminals, and fighting space pirates. The game features a universe almost eight times bigger, where the players can create and develop their space bases. It is worth mentioning that this installment introduces a more diverse world and space ship kinds, more upgrades and weapons, and an option of conquering another territories.

A simple arcade game from the independent Polish studio Digital Melody. Player takes control of a helicopter and is involved in dangerous rescue missions, helping people who got stuck e.g. on mountain peaks, lighthouses and roofs of railway carriages. Each task must be performed without damaging the machine, avoiding collisions with one of many obstacles, which isn’t easy because of simple controls, preventing any precisions when flying. Aside from a classic campaign consisting of 50 stages, Risky Rescue features an endless mode in the form of a peculiar time race. It is worth going through it though, as the faster we complete each challenge, the more money we earn, which can be used to buy new, better helicopters. Visuals are two-dimensional and rather simple, but pleasant to look at.

The DLC is focused on new adventures of an experienced war veteran, who represents one of the sides in the eternal conflict, as he or she faces yet another enemy, who shattered the established order of things. Other than the story, the expansion introduces new locations, missions, and items. Moreover, the character experience level cap was raised to 65, and the existing class campaigns were improved, so to increase the pace the of gameplay and make gathering experience and gear faster.

A first-person shooter by Guerllia Games, developed for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR. The action of Rigs: Mechanized Combat League takes place in the future, and the players take part in the eponymous futuristic sport tournament, sitting in the cockpits of armored mechs and fighting one another on special arenas. Generally, the gameplay combines elements of arena FPS with basketball. The participants compete for points which are scored where they manage to jump through a big band at the right moment. To achieve this, though, it is necessary to clear the way to the goal with the use of the available weapons. At the same time, we have to prevent the enemy from reaching our own goal. There are 20 kinds of fast and agile mechs at players’ disposal. Each of these is suited for slightly different sort of play. The game features a single player campaign but multiplayer matches remain at its core.

Giant Boulder of Death is a crazy arcade game. We direct in it a huge boulder descending from above. Along the way, we must destroy as many buildings and kill as many people and animals as possible, while avoiding destroying our boulder. The slope never ends and the fun goes on until we fail.
