Another mobile edition of one of the most popular football management simulators series developed by Sports Interactive. Compared to the full-fledged installments in the franchise, Football Manager Mobile 2016 offers somewhat simplified gameplay, although it has many more features than Football Manager Touch 2016, also for mobile devices, which was released simultaneously. The trade-off is that the database is limited to the 14 most important world leagues. The gameplay itself does not deviate from the standard solutions of the series – in the game, we have to select a proper squad for each match, decide on player transfers, set training plans, as well as take care of the club’s budget and our employees’ and supporters’ satisfaction. Compared to its predecessors, the production was enriched with a number of novelties and enhancements, particularly an improved interface, new tactical instructions, and an extensive training module.

A science fiction action adventure game and the debut production of Red Cloak Games. The plot of Wanderer takes us into a distant future and tells the story of a convict named Rook who wakes from a cryogenic sleep inside an orbital space station to discover that the entire installation has been destroyed and abandoned by humans, turning it into a deadly place. Rook sets out to look for sections where there can still be people but, as it will soon turn out, not all of them are friendly. The ultimate goal of the protagonist is to find a way to escape the dangerous place. Thanks to the non-linear plot that offers moral choices, how the objective is achieved depends on the player to a large extent. The game combines elements of various genres, such as platformer exploration, point ‘n’ click-style puzzle solving, and turn-based combat similar to that of classical RPGs.

The second paid expansion for Tom Clancy’s The Division, an online action game with RPG elements. Survival, just like the vanilla game, was developed by Ubisoft Massive, a studio experienced with online titles. Similarly to the first add-on, Underground, Survival first debuted on Xbox One and then came out for PC and PlayStation 4 a month later. The Division is a political thriller in which New York is faced with a biological terrorist attack. As a result of it, the metropolis is cut off from the world and its citizens have to fight for their lives. The entire city is mired in chaos but some places are especially dangerous. These so-called Dark Zones, are where the PvP combat happens, and they are the expansion's main focus. As the title suggests, the add-on introduces a survival mode in which players have to survive as long as possible in Dark Zones.

Just like in its precursor, the players control a futuristic vehicle that breaks all the laws of physics with its movement mechanics. Our job will be to destroy a reactor and escape in one piece. Overload focuses on the exploration of the unique locations, created according to the "deformed cube" scheme from the Descent series, searching for shortcuts, and looking for keys that unlock next levels of the compound. We will also face hordes of enemies and free the hibernated hostages. We will use a wide array of weapons during our adventures. Each element of our arsenal can be modified to increase its power. We will have to use a more tactical approach when fighting bosses. The game comes with an editor that allows us to create our own maps and missions. A digital board game by Nomad Games combining the iconic Warhammer universe with the rules of the popular board game, Talisman. The story is based on the “Horus Heresy” trilogy by Dan Abnett and takes place in 31st millennium, when humanity flourishes under the rule of a gracious Emperor. When he had suddenly withdrawn from the frontlines, and Horus, his favorite son whom he promoted to the rank of Warmaster, objected to his ambitious plans, a great civil war breaks out. In Talisman: The Horus Heresy, the players assume the role of one of 8 playable characters divided into two groups: the loyalists or the traitors and take command of one division of Space Marines. The gameplay mechanics employ the solutions of the Talisman series, although the scale is incomparably bigger because the board spans across the entire galaxy.

RPG, 2D, Strategic Elements, Fantasy, jRPG, Singleplayer, Turn-based.

The sixth major installment of the cult jRPG series, launched back in 1993 on NES, released by Capcom after over 10-year-long break. The action of Breath of Fire 6 takes us to the fantasy land known from previous entries, a thousand years after a cataclysm that turned most of the world into a desert. Moreover, the civilization that was rebuilt by the survivors is threatened by a hostile nation called the Insidia Empire. After the protagonist’s village falls victim to the Empire’s attack, his task becomes to avenge his slain relatives and find a way to stop the enemy’s triumphant march. The gameplay mechanics are a combination of a classic jRPG with economic strategy game elements. Most of the time is therefore spent on exploration, undertaking quests, developing characters, and fighting real-time battles against numerous enemies. At the same time, we also have to take proper care of our village by erecting new buildings and gathering resources crucial to its development.

A racing game created by Artefacts Studio. It is the fourth full-fledged installment in a popular series developed by Delphine Software in the years 1997-2001. Moto Racer 4 remains faithful to the premise of the classic installments, focusing on a dynamic racing experience with arcade physics and paying no attention to the so-called fair-play. The player participates in subsequent motorcycle competitions divided into off-road and asphalt variants. In the latter, aspects such as traffic or collisions with opponents were taken into account. Within these two divisions, the player will find a wide set of characters - each represents a unique riding style. The game offers more than a few different modes and the overall number of them is quite impressive. The game includes many bike models created specifically for particular competitions: from classic cross bikes to high-power beasts belonging to the superbike category. What's more, the game features an extensive customization component - both the bikes and riders can be customized.

A somewhat surrealistic FPP adventure game and a debut of Pixel Night studios, focusing on exploration and plot. The story of Empathy takes place in a collapsing world, where the few remaining cities were reduced to shelters for small human populations, and where life seems to be dying out. We explore the setting through the eyes of a child led by a mysterious spirit on their journey to return the order to this world. The protagonist will come across memories and feelings of the people of the past, which we must experience to solve puzzles and find the reason behind the calamity. What stands out the most in the game is its storytelling. We can play as any person whose memory we find, which lets us discover things we would miss otherwise. This creates a unique atmosphere, enhanced by suggestive visuals that were created with Unreal Engine 4.

A set of the first two installments in the popular Syberia series — point-and-click adventure games by Benoit Sokal, originally released in 2002 and 2003. The games' console port, created over 10 years after the original release, does not change the gameplay or visuals much, but it introduces gamepad support. In Siberia, you play as a young lawyer named Kate Walker, who was hired by a toymaking company to finalize formalities regarding a takeover of a factory in a small European town. The story begins when the protagonist arrives in the town and learns that the factory's owner, Anna Voralberg, is dead. To complete her task, Walker has to find Voralberg's heir, Hans. During the search, you visit various locations and solve a range of logic puzzles. The sequel continues the story from the first installment — Kate and Hans search for a land of living mammoths.

A unique combination of a card game and a simple RPG created by Irish one-man studio Gambrinous. In Guild of Dungeoneering you play as a leader of a run-down adventurers' guild, and your task is to gain glory, gather riches, and take the competition down a peg. The gameplay is focused mostly on developing your guild's headquarters, adding new rooms and unlocking new character classes, equipment and magical items. In order to get money to spend on all of that, you have to send your heroes to do various quests in the dungeons. However, instead of controlling your hero, you build a labyrinth out of cards around them, and the hero moves in it as they please. The gameplay is divided into turns, during which you select dungeon and enemy cards. In case of encountering an opponent, combat begins and its result depends on both your hero's stats and the attack cards you play with.

A survival-action game mixed with rougelike elements, developed by Everplay Interactive. The action of Wild Wastes takes place in modern times, in a small American town called Earlsboro, infested with bandits, aliens, and other bloodthirsty monsters known as negatives. Our task is to stay alive for a week. The action is seen from a top-down camera view, while the combat system, heavily inspired by old-school shooters, is rather arcade in nature. Aside from combat, we spend a huge chunk of our time on the search for food and shelter, or gathering valuable items and resources that can be used to craft the necessary equipment. The game is characteristic for its locations and placement of enemies or items, which are randomly generated at the beginning of every playthrough. Every survived week unlocks access to new characters and items.

A collection of the first three installments of the parodistic jRPG series Hyperdimension Neptunia. Interestingly, the characters from this franchise personify consoles and Japanese game developers. It is worth noticing, that the collection includes the original versions of the said three episodes, instead of the improved and extended Re;Birth editions. A vigorous girl by the name of Neptune is the protagonist of the first installment; she is an embodiment of a console that bore the codename "Neptune" and was supposed to be released by SEGA, but it never happened. Similar to her friend Noire (PlayStation 3), Blanc (Wii) and Vert (Xbox 360), she rules her own country and serves the role of its guardian. However, the nations face a threat posed by a dangerous organization that spreads piracy and wishes to bring the female rulers to their knees. Similarly, both the follow-ups present a satire on the further developments in the conflicts between the fans of particular consoles, and the war on piracy.

A sequel to the original production by Shiro Games, which is a kind of sentimental journey through the history of video games. The story of Evoland II is based on the popular time travel trope, and you play as a multitude of varied characters, each of them having their own history and motivation, as well as unique playstyle. Like its predecessor, it is a role-playing game, although it also combines many other other genres, such as classic fighting games, logic puzzle games, adventure games, dynamic platform games, action games, and typical shooter games. Evoland II also continues the tradition of matching the visual style to the genre, which means you can visit both simple 2D locations and detailed 3D environments. The game constitutes the creators' tribute to many popular productions and genres.

A simulation game from the Spanish studio RECO Technology, focusing on the world-famous bullfighting, rooted deeply in Spanish culture, but also causing huge controversies around the world. We start as a novice torero and try to become a prominent figure on the arena. To achieve this, we must climb up the ladder by taking part in more and more prestigious contests. Gameplay is based on the aforementioned bullfights, which mostly come down to repeating the same gestures to draw animal’s attention. Sometimes a bull will get the better of the protagonist, forcing the player to deal with a QTE sequence in order to minimize the damage from mauling. Quick reactions are crucial for getting through the game. Three-dimensional visuals of Toro are rather poor, due to it being a low budget project.
