In order to take control of his own life and stay sane, he visits familiar (and unfamiliar at the same time) places, resisting the temptation to succumb to the darkness that's still haunting his mind. When it comes to mechanics, the DLC is nothing new, although it's atmosphere is even darker and more nightmarish, underscoring how far removed from reality Wake is and how dangerous the things lurking inside him are.
