Adventure, 2D, Cyberpunk, Science Fiction, Singleplayer.
A cyberpunk adventure game from Stranded’s developer, Peter Moorhead. Murder takes us a few decades into the future, to futuristic Tokyo. We play as Motomeru Minori, a female police lieutenant, who investigates a strange and very dangerous case of murder. While she tries to uncover the truth behind this dark mystery, the heroine must question her definition of morality and consciousness. Gameplay-wise, Murder is a classic adventure title, in which we explore locations, talk with NPCs, collect items and solve puzzles. Game features a simple interface, which sometimes becomes an integral part of the story. Murder is a rather small and low-price title, an interactive counterpart of a short story, with the whole campaign taking an hour to finish at best. Visuals use a pixel art retro style, befitting of a cyberpunk world. The atmosphere is complemented by climatic soundtrack, composed by American musician known as kubrixXx.

A free-to-play mobile arcade game developed by Hipster Whale - the creators of the original Crossy Road. The game offers mechanics identical to those present in the original. The player's task is to safely get the character across a street or a river. It is not easy however, for the streets are swarming with speeding vehicles and trains, as well as other obstacles. The controls are simplistic, requiring the player to jump forward and turn left or right only. The game features infinite, randomly generated tracks. The playthrough ends when the player makes a mistake. Starting each new game is all about making more progress than previously - the player competes against other player's high scores as well. What differentiates the game from its predecessor is the roster, including such Disney and Pixar characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Mufasa or Buzz Astral. Additional characters can be unlocked using coins collected while playing or by spending real money through microtransactions.

Similarly as in classic hack’n’slash games, the action is shown from a top-down perspective and the player most of the time explores the world and participates in dynamic combat with monsters. The title’s plot follows a clown named Dropsy who got lost after a fire in his circus and tries to find a new place for himself in the world. The gameplay is based on exploration of subsequent locations and solving the encountered problems and puzzles. The action takes place in an open world, so the order of performing quests as well as piecing together the fragments of the protagonist’s story depend largely on our choices. The game features an interesting dialogue system that uses icons that correspond to different reactions instead of classical dialogue options. The title imitates the 8- and 16-bit-era productions and offers pixel art graphics that are popular among indie developers.

Co-developed by Steve Howse and Thorntree Studios, an arcade game resembling the popular mobile and browser hit Agar.io. During the game you are in control of a small snake which grows by eating bright points. Apart from yours, there are other snakes on the map and in order to win, you have to eat what remains of the bigger ones. The only problem is that they die only if they touch other creatures with their heads, so your objective is to maneuver your snake in a way that will make others run into you. This can be achieved with a number of techniques. There is no final purpose to the game, so you can play till the Earth stops turning. Similarly to the aforementioned production by M28 studio, Slither.io features minimalistic visuals. Even though they are simple, they still can give an ample scope for showing your brains and skill.

An action adventure game developed by the Insomniac Games studio. The player sets out on an adventure in a fantasy world, and plays the role of the son of the chieftain of one of the most powerful local tribes. When the leader is assassinated, a different group takes care of the child, who then returns to his home years later to avenge his father’s death. The action begins with us choosing the sex of the main character - this decision has a lot of impact on the gameplay, as the male and female feature different, unique skills. The gameplay itself revolves around exploration of the mysterious land, completing both the main and optional quests and fighting hordes of enemies. The advanced combat system featured in Feral Rites allows for numerous punches, kicks, air attacks, special tricks and finishers. We can also transform into a beast, which significantly improves our combat abilities for a short amount of time. The production is distinguished by its high-quality visuals; when compared to other titles designed solely with the VR googles in mind, it sets itself apart even further by the perspective – as the camera is placed behind our hero’s back.

A representative of the MOBA genre, created by Phantom Compass - an independent developer. Among other MOBA titles, the game stands out both with its single player story campaign and an artistically original game world. The players are taken to post-apocalyptic United States ruled by motorized gangs. Assuming the role of such a group's member, the player gains access to an extensive system of car modifications, allowing them to work on the chassis, body, armor or weaponry of their vehicle. The multiplayer component is the core of the game, and this is based on two teams fighting one another to destroy the enemy's base. Apart from that, the game features a traditional PvP mode; significantly, duels can be played both online and in the split-screen mode. The in-game story campaign is an interesting component - the player gets acquainted with a conflict between two gangs ruled by Valentina Vega and a person known as Dark Jaw. The game makes references to science-fiction movies from the 1980s, which is intensified by simplistic, cartoonish visuals representing retro-futuristic art style.

Players are taken to a vast, open world where they have only one goal - survival. To do so, they hunt and gather resources in order to build bases and fortresses that make it easier to defend themselves against other players and AI-controlled monsters. Each available hero has their own unique combination of abilities, but the game lacks any sort of class division among characters, the players simply create their own professions. The developers decided not to include any typical dungeons, raids, or quests known from other MMO games in Tree of Life. Instead, the interactions between the players were their main focus. Players can create guilds, trade, or attack each other.

The game’s plot is not an original one, and tells the story of a group of warriors fighting against an ancient evil that grew stronger having spent long years in slumber, and now threatens the entire world. The title doesn’t deviate from typical features of the genre, and the fun boils down mainly to exploration and performing quests that involve fighting various opponents. The biggest highlight of Riders of Icarus is the possibility of taming and riding many mythical beasts of different abilities. With time, the animal not only becomes our devoted friend but also a real killing machine that, depending on its unique traits, can fight alongside us or be our mount (a land or a flying one). This introduces a rather rare element of aerial combat to the genre. It is also an important part of an extensive combo-based combat system.

Our job is to conduct turn-based battles on the hexagonal grid covering the maps. The battles are large in scale, with the player controlling whole divisions of troops. The game contains an interesting feature – randomized turns. The order of turns is not fixed, while the engine decides which of the units are capable of making a move in the given turn. The Tide Turns is a highly complex title, characterized by historical consistency. The battles employ real units, while the course of each encounter is influenced by landform or soldiers’ morale.

A Japanese action role-playing game developed by Nihon Falcom, known for such series as Ys or The Legend of Heroes. The story of Tokyo Xanadu is set in an alternative universe, in a fictional district of the city of Tokyo. The protagonist is a highschooler named Kou Tokisaka, who becomes involved in the fight between humans and creatures from a parallel world. The gameplay in Tokyo Xanadu takes place on two planes: the real world and another dimension. In the real world, you take care of the protagonist's daily life, including school, managing his reputation, etc. In the monsters' realm, the game is filled with more action, as you fight your enemies using an arcade-like system. Although you can control only one character at a time, you can also switch to another one at any time to use those, whose abilities may be better suited for the situation. Both realms are connected to each other and the successes and failures in one of them affect the effectiveness of the characters in the other one.

An full-motion video adventure game created as a result of cooperation between Splendy Interactive and Wales Interactive. The action begins 30 years after a huge nuclear explosion destroyed Great Britain. The player takes on the role of the last survivor of a fallout shelter. In order to save his life, he decides to reach the surface. To do so, however, the protagonist first has to find answers for the many questions bothering him as well as discover many dark secrets hiding in every corner of the titular bunker. The player explores subsequent chambers and searches for clues, aiming to reach the ground level. The game stands out with the fact that all the in-game scenes were shot with real actors and inside an authentic fallout shelter located in Great Britain.

A game that belongs to the popular genre of simulators, entrusting the players with a demanding task of building and managing a space station. Stable Orbit is a debut project of the one-man studio Codalyn that was founded by Jim Offerman. The developer previously worked as the main designer of PC versions of such hits like Tomb Raider and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Stable Orbit takes place in space, more specifically on the Earth's orbit, five years after the deorbit of the International Space Station. The player is tasked with building a new base from the scratch and then gradually expanding it and managing all aspects of its daily functioning. Thanks to the great knowledge of the developer about how such structures work, the game is quite realistic and it faithfully recreates the unique challenges which astronauts must face.

An original first-person action game and the debut project of Atomic Jelly. Project Remedium takes place inside a human, where, during a routine medical treatment, some serious health problems were detected. To rescue the patient, medical nanobots are used, and the player controls one of them. Gameplay-wise, Project Remedium combines elements of action adventure game and classical first-person shooter. Our main task is to cure six key organs by eliminating foreign bodies and mutated cells. To do so, we traverse the cardiovascular system, nerve connections, and various organs. To eliminate threats, we use an energy gun and a medicine atomizer, both of which can be upgraded. Another useful gadget is a grappling hook that makes it easier to reach places that are difficult to access. While playing, we can count on other nanobots’ help. The locations we visit are far from realism and often resemble the surface of an uncharted planet.

Two new heroes are available as well - a bounty hunter named Bossk and the legendary Chewbacca, the iconinc character who was probably the most demanded character to be added to the game. RPG, 2D, Roguelike, Singleplayer, Steampunk.
A DLC for a well-received production by Failbetter Games that combines elements of strategy, adventure, and roguelike RPG. Sunless Sea: Zubmariner is focused on an entirely new story that takes place in the steampunk universe known from the vanilla game but introduces some changes in the gameplay mechanics. The players’ task is once again to explore the seas, only this time they descend into the depths, assuming control of a steam submarine. The player visits ports located not only on the surface but also beneath it, which is reflected in different behavior of their residents, among other things. Exploration remains at the core of the game. We encounter a myriad of underwater objects and sea monsters that often pose a serious threat to our watercraft. While playing, it is necessary to take care of our relations with the crew and to control the level of oxygen on board as well as to monitor the sonar that indicates both potential enemies and new places of interest.

A continuation to the well-received game The Red Solstice, created by the Ironward studio. Contrary to the original game though, Solstice Chronicles is a typical twin-stick shooter inspired by games such as Alienation or Helldivers. The player's task is to eliminate hordes of enemies, obtaining new weapons and developing the character. The story revolves around a mysterious virus that turns humans into bloodthirsty mutants. A handful of survivors have managed to escape from the Earth and find shelter on the surface of Mars, though many things suggest that the threat followed them. The player's goal is to obtain the medicine and stop the epidemic before it spreads on the entire Red Planet. Four character classes differing in their weapons and skills were included in the game. The player gains access to more powerful abilities when they reach higher character levels. The available weaponry includes rifles which can be acquired at any time, as well as special weapons. The so-called "brutal weapons" are significantly more powerful, but their use is greatly limited. The core of Solstice Chronicles: Missing in Action is the campaign, which can be completed solo, or in the split-screen co-op mode.

A snooker simulator from Cherry Pop Games, an independent studio, known for Pool Nation, and it’s reedition, Pool Nation FX. When it comes to mechanics, Snooker Nation Championship doesn’t differ much from its predecessor. For the players unaccustomed to the game itself, an accessible tutorial has been prepared, introducing the gamers to basic controls, for example, placing the balls, or applying necessary rotation. Playing solo, we can compete with AI in championships, which are comprised of elimination bout and 5 rounds of the main tournament. In multiplayer modes, we can face other players in a local mode, or take part in ranked online matches. In case of the multiplayer modes, the game allows us to set some basic parameters of the game. The players can also customize their equipment, including cues and balls. Snooker Nation Championship incorporates three-dimensional visuals and realistic physics, making the balls act exactly the same as if on a real pool table.

Fighting, 2D, Indie Games, Internet, Multiplayer, Platformers, Splitscreen, Singleplayer.
Inspired by such titles as Super Smash Bros., an unusual fighting game with platformer elements. The action takes place in Aether, a war-torn fantasy world in which people from various civilizations can manipulate the elements – Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. The heroes we control try to learn about the roots of the endless conflict, which takes loads of fighting. The gameplay of Rivals of Aether, designed by Dan Fornace, comes down to fighting numerous battles on numerous 2D arenas. During combat, you may not only choose from a wide array of strikes and special skills (each character has three of the latter), but also take advantage of the design of the arenas, which are filled with elements such as walls, platforms, branches, or roofs. Apart from the single-player Story Mode, the game also features many more highlights – the Abyss, in which you face waves of enemies (either single or in co-op) or Versus - its variation consisting of competing with friends. Interestingly, you can play 1v1 or 2v2 via the Internet or in the split-screen mode. The title features old-school 2D pixel art visuals.
