A classic adventure game developed by independent studio MidBoss. Assuming the role of a journalist, the player finds himself in cyberpunk Neo-San Francisco of 2064 and conducts an investigation so as to find the creator of the machine called Turing – the world’s first Artificial Intelligence with self-consciousness and an ability to think independently. The setting is retrofuturistic – the creators have drawn inspirations from the 1980s’ vision of the future. The effect is magnified by old-school 8-bit graphics. Gameplay in Read Only Memories comes down to world exploration, chatting with various characters, and solving puzzles. From time to time, the player needs to complete arcade sequences consisting in fighting enemies or sneaking past guards. The way the story develops largely depends on the player’s actions and their decisions, which lead to different plot branches.

A spin-off of a popular music game series developed over the years by Harmonix Music Systems. The largest novelty which distinguishes Rock Band VR from the main installments is obviously the support of Virtual Reality goggles. Subsequent performances are viewed here from the first-person perspective. Apart from that, however, the Rock Band gameplay formula remains unchanged. Once again, the player assumes the roles of individual rock band members in order to play the part of a drummer, guitarist or a singer, trying to recreate a given song to the best of their ability through pressing adequate buttons at the right time and linking them into combinations by doing so. The better the quality of one's performance, the larger the score. What is also worth noticing, is that members of a power metal band DragonForce took part in both the game's production process and its commercial campaign.

Of course, to become known in the world of music, we also need to record songs, film music videos, and perform in front of an audience at live concerts. A hilarious game combining elements of a shooter and an endless runner; it was created by Baby Squid - a studio comprising of a single game maker. The player is required to shoot the enemies moving around subsequent maps, which is done by moving one's finger against the touchscreen and tapping the trigger. The enemies, including shooters and ninjas, constantly try to eliminate the player and a single hit can be the reason of one's failure. Thus taking the most dangerous foes out quickly is essential. Explosive barrels and other interactive objects diversify the experience, because hitting them at the right time can result in having several enemies killed at a time. The player's goal is to score as many points as possible. Furthermore, the player obtains coins alongside progression and these can be spent on new weapon sights. Endless Sniper offers pixel-art visuals, referencing old games released for 8-bit consoles. Although the application is available for free, commercials are displayed from time to time.

An adventure horror game from Darkling Room studios, creators of the Last Crown series and the Dark Fall trilogy. Once again, we assume the role of Nigel Danvers, a researcher who devoted himself to supernatural cases. This time, he planned to spend Halloween investigating a haunted hotel in small port town. The story of The Last Crown: Midnight Horror draws inspiration from old tales and beliefs related to Celtic festival of Samhain. Even though we will meet old faces, the game has been polished as a standalone production, meaning that knowledge of events from previous titles of the series isn’t necessary. As far as game mechanics go, The Last Crown: Midnight Horrors is a classic adventure game, so we mainly explore locations, collect items and solve puzzles. Some of the latter require usage of authentic gadgets used by modern ghost hunters, while others come down to recreating old pagan rituals. The Last Crown: Midnight Horror stands out with its monochromatic style – for most of the time we are presented with black and white visuals.

During the game, a player assumes the role of a space merchant, who travels through dangerous regions of the galaxy supplying various goods to whoever pays most. The player’s objective is to earn a lot of money - since his vessel is designed for moving merchandise, a direct confrontation with an opponent will end tragically. This is also why the game does not deliver spectacular battle sequences, and the key aspect of the gameplay is to use the stealthy approach and avoid confrontation with large groups of enemies. In order to succeed, one has to properly manage their energy and resources and make a number of difficult decisions. The players, more than once, have to decide which systems of the vessel are to remain active, and which should be shut down.

The game is different to the original release mainly in terms of technicalities, offering higher screen resolution settings (in the widescreen mode as well). Apart from that, the devs from Night Dive (who created this edition) implemented an option to look around with mouse, which was not present in the original release. Also, three independent control schemes were added. Many technical issues that were considered the original System Shock's main flaw were solved in the new release.

The currency is obtained through beating the maze or from the characters that challenge our creation. We can also unlock new skins for our hero, which – along with the entire visuals – employ pixel art style.

Sports, Internet, Manager, Football Manager, Multiplayer, Singleplayer.
A football-themed manager game created by Square Enix, specifically for mobile devices. The player's task here is to build up the titular dream team - the game offers thousands of real footballers to choose from, and those belong to over 440 different teams. Apart from arranging transfers and selecting footballers, the player has to develop adequate training plans and tactics - the latter have to be modified during matches as well. The player is also required to take care of a stadium that needs to be upgraded on a regular basis. All of this however, requires proper funding, thus it is necessary to manage the club's money appropriately - both the income and expenses have to be balanced. Apart from the single-player mode, Championship Manager: All-Stars offers three multiplayer modes, including the world league, short tournaments, and the special Sudden Death mode - getting defeated three times here puts an end to the career.

Strategy, Crowdfunding, Indie Games, Space, RTS, Science Fiction, Singleplayer, Tactics.
A space strategy inspired by the TV Show Battlestar Galactica, The Lost Fleet series of novels by John Hemry, and the video game FTL: Faster Than Light. In a distant future, the player assumes the role of a captain of the last remaining ship from a destroyed armada and hunted by a mysterious enemy. XO is played in real time, but the game offers an option of active pause. In battles the ships' movements are limited to two dimensions, but their behavior is simulated by an advanced physics engine. Some of the player’s tasks are setting the next destination of the journey, and then, upon arriving to a new system, collecting as much resources and allies as possible. With each minute passing more enemies appear, ultimately forcing you to escape from the system. You get some rest during hyperspace travels, when you also make necessary repairs, upgrades and political decisions. The ultimate goal is to gather enough forces to launch a successful assault on the enemy mother-ship.

Action, 2D, Indie Games, Free-to-play.
A free production from an independent Belgian developer, Thomas Kole, who decided to combine two of his favorite games: the famous shooter Half-Life 2 and the psychedelic shooter Hotline Miami. In the resulting title, Half-Life Miami, we assume the role of a physicist, Gordon Freeman, and are taken to the locations known from the legendary production by Valve where we decimate enemies with the iconic Gravity Gun. The gameplay itself is similar to Hotline Miami in style, though, and the events are observed from a top-down camera. Another highlight of the game is the level editor made available by Kole, which lets us create our own locations. The title also features an interesting soundtrack composed by SUNG.

Adventure, Exploration Games, FPP, Horror, Singleplayer.
A first-person horror adventure game set in The Secret World’s, a popular MMO title, setting. It was developed by Funcom the studio that, apart from the aforementioned production, created Age of Conan and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, among other things. The plot of The Park takes us to a theme park surrounded with a dense forest, which brings to mind The Secret World's Atlantic Island Park. While playing, we assume the role of a woman named Lorraine whose son, Callum, went missing during an unfortunate visit to that ghastly place. The player’s task is to naturally find the boy and solve the dark secrets of the eponymous park. Sound effects are extremely important in the gameplay, namely the protagonist’s shouts. The heroine incessantly calls her son and the changes in the timbre of her voice indicate her attitude and emotions.

Arcade, Singleplayer.
An arcade game by Fixpoint Productions. You play as an inventor, who succeeded in building a jetpack. Before he shares his invention with the world, however, he needs to test it. The gameplay of Piloteer is set in various locations, and it focuses on increasingly complex challenges. Although the control system is relatively easy (virtual buttons on each side of the screen control the particular engines), the protagonist himself is quite immobile, which impacts the difficulty — one bad move may end in a crash. The game is pleasant to the eye — the visuals resemble a collage made from colorful paper, and the distinct ragdoll effect adds a bit of humor.
